Who was in the wrong here?

He is a literal rapist
>>
>>221125274
No one. Brian asked why Quagmire didn't like him so he told him.

>>221125317
>You're an X so that invalidates the truth you just told
Doesn't work that way.
>>
it's so cringe when South Park and Family Guy try to get "serious"

I actually very much enjoyed the incest episode.
>>
>>221125274
Quagmire. Everything he said had some truth to it, but you don't unload on people like that, just to break them. Only people with poor impulse control and poor character traits do this. It's basic decency not to be mean to anybody. We do, in fact, live in a society, and loudmouths make everything worse.
>>
>>221125317
Docket number of the court case where Quagmire was found guilty of said alleged crime in a nonappealable judgment?
>>
>>221125317
And? He not saying he's better than brian. He's just saying brian is no better than anyone
>>
>>221125317
he raped and murdered the simpson family even maggie
>>
>>221125681
How did he fit in Maggie
>>
Reminder that Quagmire raped Marge Simpson and then killed her entire family, including Maggie.
>>
>>221125926
He only raped and murdered midge. The other Simpson family members were simply shot to death.
>>
>>221125274
Didn't they fight in one episode and squash their beef?
>>
>>221125274
Both.
Next question?
>>
>>221126384
No, Brian just squashed Quagmire's trans dad's beef.
>>
>>221125450
Some people need to be broken.
I guarantee you have at least one person in your life who is only likeable in his current state because he was broken by someone before, and it was his own fault.
>>
>>221125339
It's hard to take anything a rapist says seriously and Quagmire has done a fuckton worse than Brian
>>
>>221126467
Underrated.
>>
>>221126497
Then Brian shouldn't care that he doesn't like him. But he does and he asked. He's not defending who he is, he's simply answering Brian's question.
>>
>>221126576
Brian is a narcissist and cares deeply about what people think. Of course it's gonna tear him up. Doesn't change the fact that Quagmire, of all people, shouldn't be going off on someone else.
>>
>>221126671
>shouldn't be going off on someone else.
He's perfectly permitted to not like someone else. He didn't do anything on it. He wasn't rude to Brian, didn't sabotage or deprive him of anything. He simply didn't like him. Brian asked why and he got the truth.
Was Quagmire supposed to lie because he's a rapist?
>>
>>221126704
Well he judges Brian for being attracted to Lois, even though he has tried to fuck her several times and even tried to spy on his daughter when she was having a sleep over
>>
>>221125274
the writers for trying to change quagmire's character for being too problematic and the best they could come up with is a snarky asshole.
ironically similar to brian.
>>
>>221126784
So? That's something he doesn't like in Brian. Does he need to qualify things he doesn't like that he himself does? He probably wouldn't like them in himself.
>>
>>221125274
The writers for thinking that making the coomer rapist a moral authority all of a sudden was a good idea
>>
>>221126497
that's the entire point quagmire makes... if you sell fentanyl and steal cars and have some whackadoo justification in your head about it, and a serial killer calls you out on it, that doesn't magically absolve your behavior
>>
>>221126895
It's called being a hypocrite. It makes him look like a bitter asswipe by trying to insult Brian for something that he himself does as well.
>>
>>221127062
this isn't autism i think you're genuinely thick. quagmire freely admits he is a piece of shit and brian doesn't. stop overthinking it
>>
>>221127084
And he's still a hypocrite. Nothing you said disproves that. Just because he admits he's a piece of shit doesn't mean he isn't being hypocritical in the scene. Maybe learn to read.
>>
>>221126704
He should shut his mouth and work on not raping women and being a pedophile
>>
>>221127062
>It's called being a hypocrite.
So what? Brian asked why he doesn't like him. He got the answer.
>>
>>221125274
Hasn't Quagmire tried to sleep with Lois multiple times? Kinda hypocritical to call Brian out for the same exact thing.
>>
>>221127141
>>221127084
Lol you guys are having melties over family guy
>>
>>221127278
You're really fucking hung up on that part
>>
>>221127292
Because it's central to the issue, retard. Quagmire completely kept the fact that he didn't like Brian to himself to the point Brian wasn't even aware of it. And even after all Brian's persistence he still just kept to himself and didn't make a big deal out of it. Brian specifically demanded to know why he didn't like him so he told him. That's the crux of it. He insisted on the truth and he got it. Whether or not the reasons he doesn't like one person for things that may be similar to himself is inconsequential; it's not a therapy session, he's simply telling the guy why he didn't like him after he demanded to know.
>>
>>221127371
>kept it to himself
He was a passive aggressive bitch the entire fucking time
>>
>>221125274
Quagmire. IMO it goes back to his personality rewrite of being a pessimistic "old man" of the group instead of primarily being a pervert. Pretty much the only thing he shit on Brian for that he himself isn't guilty of is being a performative liberal.
>>
>>221127289
Went 200% limp when she said she loved Petah which makes him better than Brian.
>>
>>221127400
How? Brian didn't even know.
>>
>>221127508
Rewatch the episode. He could have come right out say he didn't like him as a person and didn't want to hang out. End it there. Whole episode he handles the entire situation like a woman until he feels the need to blow up and give us all a whole bunch of excuses for why he doesn't like Brian despite Quagmire being an infinitely worse person. If he has all of this insight into people, maybe he should look inward instead of behaving like a faggot.
>>
>>221127571
>Rewatch the episode.
I don't need to. Brian didn't know until Peter let it slip. Brian ambushes him while getting the mail and Quagmire says nothing. Brian then inadvertently insults his beaten up sister.
After this Brian dishonestly poses as Quagmire's former love to lure him to a dinner to try and be friends. Why the fuck would he want to spend time with someone who does that? Out of politeness he sits through dinner at Brian's insistence, in a situation he absolutely doesn't want to be in, and when he wants to leave Brian demands to know why he doesn't like him.
>If he has all of this insight into people, maybe he should look inward instead of behaving like a faggot.
Or he could just keep it to himself, avoid the person he doesn't like, and live his life which he had been doing.
>>
>>221127659
Could have said it five seconds into talking to him after Peter let it slip. Went on and on to show Brian was a bad guy through misguided attempts and went on a rant about someone else despite being a pedophile and a rapist himself. He's in no position to talk down or judge anyone.
>>
>>221127727
>Could have said it five seconds into talking to him after Peter let it slip
He wasn't aware. Brian doesn't say anything about it until after he leads Quagmire to that dinner under false pretences.
>He's in no position to talk down or judge anyone.
You're not required to be a saint to not like someone and Brian is just as big a scumbag only thin-skinned and narcissistic because he so pathetically demands someone's approval after learning they don't like him rather than just moving on with his life.
Biggest issue is Brian is boring. Quagmire even says he could look the other way on all his faults if he wasn't such a bore. He just doesn't like him and he doesn't have to.
>>
>>221127811
Had plenty of opportunities to come right out with it but he needed a stage to have the final word like any of it matters because Quagmire just comes across like a hypocrite. Brian is all of those things but I don't recall Brian fucking children and/or raping anyone so this entire dinner roast is null and void. You can't take a single thing he says seriously in light of the past shit Quagmire has done. They're both awful but Quagmire is a legit monster.
>>
Brian, for saying "How can you not like me?" instead of asking "Why don't you like me?"
>>
>>221127913
>Had plenty of opportunities to come right out with it but he needed a stage to have the final word like any of it matters
For what purpose? He's not setting out to hurt Brian's feelings, he just doesn't want to be his friend. He's just trying to get through a dinner Brian deceived him into attending until Brian demands to know why he doesn't like him.
>They're both awful but Quagmire is a legit monster.
Boo hoo. Then Brian shouldn't care whether he likes him or not. But he does.
>>
>>221125350
I hate it too. Ive noticed zoomers eat it up though. All the show subreddits went from posting funny clips to discussing character motivations and behaviors. Its the weirdest fucking thing. Its like snark communities gossiping about celebrities
>>
>>221126478
Some people maybe, but I believe it's the absolute exception. I know enough people who were broken for small petty bullshit and they are now incapable of trusting anyone, enter a relationship etc.
Most people who resort to breaking someone just have very poor communication skills and bad impulse control. They derive joy from seeing other people suffer, but they are also cowards about it, so they choose the socially acceptable way of doing so, by infusing it with righteousness and moral grandstanding.
>>
>>221125681
>>221126345
I love how The Simpsons fans and Matt Groening are forever triggered AND bootyblasted by this. Just like that Bojack Horsman parody; "Normal words, BUT A HORSE GUY!!!"

Family Guy is based just for that.
>>
>>221125274
The writers for putting this unfunny trash scene on the screen
>>
>>221125317
Irrelevant. Quag wasn't lecturing Bryan, he was telling him why he doesn't like him.
>>
>>221126899
Is there even a truly good person in Family Guy? There is no Ned Flanders.
>>
>>221125274
Quagmire, easy. Brian can be annoying and self righteous but Quagmire was a total fucking asshole to someone who was nice and warm to him. Completely unjustified.
>>
>>221130910
Cleveland
>>
>>221125681
Him hesitating then shooting Maggie was one of the hardest times I ever laughed.
>>
>>221128167
Its quite literally skyrocketing rates of actual autism.
>>
>>221125350
The safe episode fucking sucked and I’m glad people are finally seeing it for what it is.
>>
>>221131090
Hated it even as a teenager.

>eating literal shit is...LE DEEP
Shitty gross episode.
>>
>>221125317
Yeah, but he's not as annoying as later seasons Brian
>>
>>221131041
He's black
>>
I miss the old happy Quagmire
>>
>>221125274
Brian was changed as a straight guy voice of reason playing off of Peter's wackiness into the supreme flanderised liberal hypocritical douchebag. For some reason a literal rapist, cheater, pervert, criminal, child abuser is more palatable and funny than the smug liberal douche.
>>
>>221131303
S1 Brian is peak.
>>
>>221131187
And you're Indian, so what?
>>
>>221125339
Didn't Brian have to trick him into coming there in the first place by claiming his 'one that got away' was gonna be there?
>>
>>221131385
His entire personality on family guy is that he is the token black friend. That's it. The Cleveland show has him turn into another Peter.
>>
>>221125681
Ay caramba! Mom and Dad are dead!
