I was already kind of in dislike of this because it stole an idea I'd been working on but this ending sucks ass.
Gooseworx would've focused on the intense strain of long-term (decades if not more) time spent in the circus and an intense and mysterious history of prior members that seemingly go back well before the circus should've been made, implying time dilation and that they'll be there for literally ever incapable of dying or being deleted.
He pussied out on so many amazing aspects to elevate the series beyond bland limpwristed concepts which are completely never seized in order to focus almost entirely on non-interesting character development.
It's like a bunch of chinks made this and didn't have the creativity to push it past a jingle-keys level of the entire setting and concept, we as an audience should have experienced the essence of nostalgia mixed with a slowly building dread of a human consciousness trapped in an eternal environment where the only death is becoming insane and being locked away to experience your trauma over and over forever, and there being a sense of prior story carrying over thousands of years in this space among newly trapped human minds not yet fully aware the scale of the hell they're trapped in, and then how they change over the eons with different futile attempts to build a life they can ride out until the end.
