What movies does he watch?

He watches 5 seasons of breaking bad while rooting against Walt, because he is intellectual enough to recognize that Walt is le bad guy.
>>
He watches Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and laughs.

Ace Ventura is way too transphobic for redditjak to enjoy. Dumb and Dumber may be more up his alley
>>
>>221152963
He watches Silence of the Lambs and understands that Buffalo Bill isn't actually trans.

Starship Troopers, knowing that it is a scathing critique of fascism

Whatever I don't like

All of them, that's what the certificate is for

The Sopranos
Wolf of Wall Street
Scarface
Taxi Driver

I genuinely believe in media literacy as a concept, it just doesn't withstand contact with redditors.
I believe media literacy = accurately interpreting the intent of a scene, reddit leftists believe media literacy = comprehend everything as propaganda even when it isn't.

i always think sjit like this is a meme, and so much so that people wouldnt do it anymore, but then you actually encounter someone genuinely talking about media literacy in the wild

I knew a transgender coworker who alleged to have this opinion. I was stunned. I politely asked what he found appealing about Breaking Bad, and he said something about how it shows how the patriarchy ruins everything.

Putting leftists aside, are there any worthwhile conversations about media literacy or the general public failing to have media literacy that are worth having besides rooting for the bad or whatever?
