Love the first and second books. The first one can be read in an afternoon, ideal for a two-hour flick. And it is written in such a way that adapting it to a screenplay would be a breeze. I always thought that it should be framed as a visual reconstruction for elvish uni students and presented by the gnome psychologists, so that they can interject certain explanations between scenes, like how Butler v troll fight recording got popular.Instead Disney raped the material into bloody mush, then shit and pizzled all over it and threw up on it for good measure.>that blurb on the back of the first book about a film coming soon

I like the VNs better than the books at this point, especially since they stopped before the books turned to shit

I enjoy the design of the city and backgrounds in general more than the characters though. Hopefully the OP does the remaining two books, their thread is still alive as well so there's demand for it.
I remember reading the first few books because in one of them it advises investing in gold and I did just because of that back in the early 2000s.
