>moral of the story don't upset the natural order
>also capitalism is le bad!!!

BRAVO JOON HO BRA FUCKING VA

3/10
It's a fine premise with some decent acting, but it gets old real quick and it (ironically) can't maintain its tempo. Also the changes to the source material were dumb as hell.
Felt too much like Hunger Games tonally, again, no pun intended, with its goofy antagonists.
>>
>>221161005
the tracks would freeze over or be covered in snow in like 30 minutes, derailing the whole fucking train.
dumbass premise in a dumbass movie.
>>
>>221161005
5/10 absolutely mediocre

There could be other survivors in the train and they could hide inside from the bear.

Dying on Everest is fun. You might even become a landmark.

Maybe it's explained better in the comics but it's just too nonsensical to take seriously.

>how does the train collect so many bugs?
>why do the rich people bother keeping the poor people alive if there's a chance they would rebel instead of starving them and taking over their cars?
>are there low class people like janitors who maintain the front cars and if so where do they live?
>why were John Hurt and Ed Harris calling each other?
>who maintained the train tracks?

4/10
poorly conceptualized
quality moments elevate it from 2/10
>>
>>221161005
I can't. I shut it off after 40-ish minutes and just read the wikipedia page after I became tired of all the retarded plot holes.
>>
The world is dead. Everyone is in a train. But bugs are...le bad...
>>
>>221162403
almost all of these things are explained in the movie lul
>>

A pretty decent action thriller with a great premise. Most of the criticisms against it are stupid and made by stupid people. 7/10.
>>
>>221161005
Boring/10
Everyone recommended this to me and I just didn't care
>>
>>221161068
thats why the train is called the snowpiercer...
>>
>>221162548
yeah if anything the explanation of all of that is literally the point of the movie
>>
>>221161005
Snow is cold. Trains are hot. But one man would pierce both.

The premise is ok if you suspend your disbelief, but it ends up being a bad movie because of it's ending.
It's like El hoyo, The Silence, Don't Make noise with emily blunt, Birdbox...
You have to buy the magical premise of the setting, otherwise the movie fells apart, so the movie can take part INSIDE the magical premise world.
The problem with this movie, is that it ditches the magic at the end. You can't do that it's stupid to set up "ok on this magical world.." and end up with "Magical made up world bad, see!"
...Ok?
The fucking point?
So stupid

>Don't Make noise with emily blunt
Lol

I agree, the setting of Snowpiercer is too fantastical to take literally. I liked it more for its critique of human nature. Mass learned helplessness. Pulling the ladder up behind oneself so others can't climb higher. Blatant misdirection from authority figures, instead of good solid useful information.

It has no idea on what it wants to do, except the twist. It also suffers from retelling Noah's Ark, but only by accident with no intent on the parallels.
There is also significantly better train tracks hellscape fiction.

>the setting of Snowpiercer is too fantastical to take literally.
That's literally every dystopian movie.
>>
>>221163579
It's a sliding scale, not an on/off switch.

Fucking Death Race is more believable than a train that circles an icy world endlessly.
>>
>>221163579
the point is that every movie that construct a dystopian magical world and tear it down is self serving and insist upon itself
Like In Time, or Snowpiercer
>>
probably the most 5/10 movie ever made

Most of these "eat the rich" movies make the final bad just 1 guy, when it's a WORLDWIDE OLIGOPOLY. Multiple big mafias helping each other to stay in power, the plebs haven't a chance.
>>
Ranking this below a 7 means you got filtered. It's obviously a 10/10 if you like film. Really cool sets, good acting, wacky for the apocalypse. At least it isn't some version of fallout/the road, like every other apocalyptic film.
>>
solid 7, fun movie. is the tv show any good?
