Why was this so hated on despite it charm? Was it bitter fans of the OG who couldn't let go?
>>
>>221168507
It doesn’t really work as a prequel of Herman and Lilly meeting and falling in love when the actors are in their 50s.

Because Robert Cummings has NEVER made anything watchable and isn’t gonna start now, only faggots who are obsessed with metal watch his films and his stupid fucking wife fuck every movie up

>only faggots who are obsessed with metal watch his films
Not true. His movies don't have elves and dragons and heroes fightining against dark lords and winning through the power of friendship and steel.

Best iteration of the Munsters coming through, even better than the OG series.

House was great

I generally don’t disagree, though I do like White Zombie, Hellbilly Deluxe, The Sinister Urge. I also like House of 1000 Corpses and love Devil’s Rejects, though I think a lot of that might be nostalgia for the period when those released, and Sid Haig/Bill Moseley carrying those fucking movies on their backs.

No they are legit good movies

it seems like reboot fatigue is at its highest ever recorded

He did fantastic work being a cameo in twisted metal 4 and allowing his songs on the soundtrack. Bad fucking ass!

Is that Olivia wilde? Jerry O'Connell seems like a weird casting choice. Eddie izzard is right on point.

TM 4 was a terrible game
>>

Devil's Rejects was great.
Always listened to White Zombie before a hockey game as kid to get pumped up in the locker room.
Thunder Kiss '65 on repeat until we took the ice.

I don't want a family film from Rob Zombie. And even if I did, I don't want Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster. And even if I did, this movie would still suck. It looks like utter shit for one, two it's terribly written and unfunny, three did I mention it looks like shit? It has the aesthetic qualities of a porn video
>>
>>221168773
>Portia de Rossi as Lily Munster
hnnnng I wish they had ordered a full season of this, we got gypped
>>
Rob desperately needs a writer and a good one. You can tell he's passionate about the medium and his chosen genre, but it just seems that there is a disconnect between conveying his ideas in a verbal sense as opposed to a visual one.
Amazing musician, nonetheless.

They're in a retirement home though
>>

We almost got the Flyers movie that would have been pg 13 probably
>>
>>221168773
So, what makes it better than the OG? Surely you're not pulling a plebbit "what about this heckin' little known thing? move like a faggot?

>Eddie Izzard

I love to see him pop up in TV shows because he's always good regardless of the quality of the show.
>>
>>221171067
I pray you don't know what he's like today.

Here come the Munsters (1995) was the only good adaptation not using the original cast watch it, it's fun, and better than zombieslop

why not just watch the real thing?
>>
>>221171217
Because the ripoff is white-coded, the original deal is hispanic-coded.
>>
>>221171217
Because it sucks, and Rob made it cool

Lily Munster was so much sexier than Morticia, although Addams Family was the funnier, more creative series for sure

The original 1960's Munsters show, Herman was like 150 years old as he was made in the 1800's. Grandpa Munster was like 400 years old or some shit.
>>
>>221170247
If Rob writes it himself he knows he has more creative control over his films.
>>
>>221174128
Granted, but The Munsters was nearly 5 years ago and it sure as hell doesn't look like Rob is getting any projects off the ground and up and running. Munsters legit murderd his career and any chance of him getting to handled a major IP ever again.

I am not that familiar with The Munsters as a TV show. I use to get it confused with The Addams Family. I did check out a few of the original 1960's episodes and they are amusing 1960's camp. I think I would have to rewatch the Rob Zombie movie to re-evaluate it, as I wasn't into it on my first viewing. I think Rob Zombie literally owns the Munsters franchise now. I was surprised to find a 1988 series as well, called Munsters Today, which looks like it might be entertaining enough for some 1980's cheese.
