>Finally watch pic related
>It's nothing like actual prison

I had the honor of spending 19 months in prison during all the Covid crap for false allegations from my vengeful ex, and it's absolutely nothing like in this film. I even had to spend it all in maximum security thanks to all the tamps being put in the minimum security prisons, so normal people like me got thrown in with the shotgun wielding meth head petrol station robbers.

The people with Swastikas tattooed on their foreheads, etc, were the nicest people possible (my cell mate's name was Teardrop, due to him having murdered people as a contract killer, and he would just talk to me all day about Star Trek... He was obsessed with Voyager and knew every little thing about every alien race), and the aboriginals/Africans were the absolute worst. Not once was there a fight or open riot or stabbing, and it was just everyone counting the days until they got home, talking about normal shit, smoking like crazy, and everyone's cell was completely covered in family pictures like a wallpaper. The worst thing about prison was the smoking... All you could smell 24/7 was strong tobacco.

I obviously had an easier time because I'm a 6'4" ex-military fag and there's no knife culture in the prisons here (if there ever was a random fight, it's just a few punches then they disappear in different directions so the screws don't throw them into isolation), it's nothing like the film.

The absolute worst people in prison are the screws; those guys are absolute power tripping faggots, and are LITERAL faggots, because they get off on having you naked infront of them as often as possible. Also, if you're a tranny, it's not some homo lust sex fantasy that you weirdos would think it is... No one wants to touch another man in there because being called a faggot is the worst thing in prison, and the trannies would just get randomly sucker punched or slapped. The people with the hottest wives/gfs on the outside garnered massive respect.

As I said saar, it was during covid, so all the prisons were full of horrid people who dared to keep their businesses open or didn't stand 6ft away from someone else.

Yeah, I think the judge and jury treated you fairly. You're such a wonderful person so it might seem unfair.

You'll go back soon, I know your type.

I was going to say that Australia is way different than america. The inmates are used to bypass the cruel and unusual law. Look up the Louis Theroux Miami made documentary to witness the dungeons of america. Americans arent equal, the elite are nobility and the poor have to deal with that.

When I was in juvenile it stank like clorox and piss all the time. Sweeping up hair everyday, its disgusting. Fights were frequent by someone outright disrespecting others and insulting them until they had to physical fight. The guards would react quickly and take the opportunity to bodyslam some of the kids. Some took a personal pride in their tyrannical control while others just when about their day with us and put movies on. Saw Kangaroo jack, ready 2.rumble and anger management.

God damn. I've been thinking recently about why I wouldn't want to spend 40 years living with a woman, even one with the right qualities. Dated a nice one for two years. This is so fucked up. Reason number 298457230 not to live with a woman.

I don't think Aussie prisons are the same as a max security California prisons. I'm sure the movie is different from real life, it has to be, the movie only has 2 hours to tell the story.
>>
>>221172996
Nah, it got the violence and prison politics used to isolate and prey on other inmates. Wes Watson and others that were inside stood by it.
>>
Prison is only like this in California and Texas. We have even worse prisons in the deep south, but those are 99% black. His previous movie Felon is loosely based on real events of guards staging gladiator fights in Corcoran in the 90s.
>>
>>221172780
Fincher saw it and it made him very, very mad. The Killer is about how stupid he thinks movies, audiences and Shot Caller are. Go back and count how many times each film has the main character "cover his tracks" by stepping on a smartphone to break it.

Lol I was briefly in the Miami "supermax" featured in Theroux's documentary. It was a legit "processing error" how I ended up there for 12 hours.
I didn't know where tf I was at the time. I was offloaded from a bus with lots of blacks, sent up a narrow staircase with walls greenish chipped paint, it was kinda GTA aesthetic, my first "oh shit" was that the female guard didn't speak English or pretended not to.
If you were young, white and chill it was okay, I mostly watched blacks vs cubans fight half the time, the fights were cheered on by everyone like a fucking cliche movie. It helped to know anything about rap. My friend binged Louis docs a few years ago, I couldn't believe I had been there.

I went to Pelican Bay for 18 months for selling bootleg snes cartridges and it was nothing like what people think it is. There weren't ethnic gangs or rapes or anything, everyone was super chill. The worst that would happen was if someone scraped your shin sliding for home during kickball in the yard or pushing you under the water too hard during pool time and giving you swimmers ear. My celly was a Crips member nicknamed Branflakes and we often stayed up all night playing smash bros.

I got nicknamed me "The Master" because I took over DMing Dungeons and Dragons games for my pod after the last DM got released. Branflakes wanted me to come DM for him and his homeboys when we got out but he was released before me and got popped by some cholo back in his hood before I could visit him. RIP BF.

My original campaign idea was to set it in a prison that the party had to escape but "The Rooster" (or nickname for the head guard in charge of our pod) said I couldn't because it would give the prisoners ideas, so I set it in Greyhawk instead (Branflakes wanted Faerun but the other prisoners were sick of it so he got overruled).

The players were made at The Rooster for telling me we couldn't play the original campaign I wanted so one night Toaster (an MS13 chicano who was doing 10 years) got him back by leaving the door to the pod open a crack and balancing a big cup of water on it when he knew the Rooster was doing rounds, and when the Rooster opened the door he got soaked and Toaster got sent to solitary for a month. Prison is no fairy tale world.
>>
>>221176825
>Prison is no fairy tale world
Nobody said it was a fairy tale world but it's really weird to see you say this for no reason after telling us how some gang banger pulled a summer camp movie style prank on the head guard

Also yeah you should have realized that creating a prison break scenario from the very facility you are in, would not be kosher with the guards. Furthermore you are stupid as well for even telling them what you were doing in the first place.

It would've been easy enough to smuggle in dice sets via the prison pocket but we needed mats and miniatures to make the pageantry come alive so we had to put in a request form. Besides the Rooster was a real vindictive old hound dog, he would've found out anyways. When the ice cream machine broke down on a Friday evening he refused to bring in a repairman until Monday because he didn't want to pay the overtime fee so all we had was the slushie machine. Of course this lead to the "Bloody Wednesday" riot which Peanut, the party's Cleric, got killed in, so their fight against the Red Dragon the session afterward did not go well and Toaster also lost his bard which really just made that whole week one big downer. We even lost our D&D table so we had to play on our bunks for a couple sessions until the Rooster let us have a day trip to go buy a card table from Wal Mart. Do you know how hard it is to draw maps on a mat that's on top of a soft prison mattress?

I should never have been in there (that's me on the left with the yellow wrist band and Rooster in the middle about to hit Peanut)

>>
>>221177339
D6 yes, for gambling. If you can get yourself a D20 and a few weird little fantasy figurines and tell them you’re playing a fantasy fairy tale game the guards just shake their heads in disbelief.

Most prisoners who play DND are both enjoying a riveting cover game and gambling at the same time. They get really addicted to it. There’s nothing else like it, inside or out.

The first guy that replied to you isnt me.
Surprisingly prisons are weird about what is and isnt allowed. When I first got there we were allowed fullsize toothbrushes, tv remotes, and cards in the mail. They banned all of those within 4 years.

To your point though, for a long while you could order stuff from amazon, and gaming dice was on the list. Someone ruined that by ordering a crate full. Theres a lot of d6 that can be found in board games. Some people make spinners, but I actually made my own dice.

Alright, so it’s a little complicated, but I’ll do my best to explain.

Basically, lifers hide their gambling within their DnD rolls. It’s hard to work out exactly, because they use code terms. I know enough DnD to know they were saying weird things, but they pretend it’s a homebrew system, so I never figured it out.

It seems like they use the threat of character death as a way to keep each other compliant. They all get really engrossed in the stories and you haven’t seen anything until you see a lifer with four confirmed kills openly weeping because his gnome warlock died.
