these films had a terrible cast. none of the characters portrayed their roles well and they didn't mesh together whatsoever

>>221172149This has been debunked.
>>221172149Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan was better than Luke, Han and Leia combined

>>221172181All he ever does us look placid and vaguely authoritative, without ever emoting, and just constantly mumbling galactic bylaws. Ewan is actually kind of charismatic in literally every movie he has ever been in. It is a actually an achievement to smother his charisma and snuff it out completely like this.
How many bad Star Wars movies need to be released before you fags realize that the series sucks?
>>221172181You eat your own shit
>>221172180How? I think the only actors anyone can argue did serviceable jobs are Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor.
>>221172181this
>>221172181What kind of Crack are you smoking anon? Ewan may be one of the better actors in the prequels but that fucker has no real material to work with and honestly fails when given anything substantive. It's actually amazing how he has less emotion for Anakin burning to a crisp than Mark Hammil had for Alec Guinness getting chopped in half.

Adam Driver outacts Ewan McGregor, and Driver had almost NOTHING to work with in the sequels. Just his expressions tell a story the script can't. Driver just went on set and made up a movie in his head to act for.
obi wan was cast perfectly and so was dooku. if you don't admit this you have ulterior motives.
>>221172378The casting was good. Perhaps it was the direction that was at fault...
>>221172378Casting doesn't matter when the scripts have shit dialog and the director can't properly explain character motivations to his actors. I can acquire the perfect god damn ingredients for a cake but if I just throw them all in the over immediately at 500 degrees and leave it for 3 hours my cake is gonna be shit.
>>221172378>obi wan was cast perfectly and so was dookudooku yes obi wan now. and even if both were yes they can't carry the whole movie
>>221172149Theme park rides. The thrill of buying SW themed toys, happy meals, gulp cups, sth exciting for kids to look foreward to, but they learn little of judging creative/performance works, unless it's some false sense of justice under evil rule.
>>221172451i dont think there was too much star wars stuff at disney. i just remember the AT-AT that shot water out of the head with the sound effect every few minutes
>>221172250Yes I do
Here's the thing about Star Wars: there will never be another Star Wars. Lucas and co. worked really hard on TESB only to discover they would simply never, ever dazzle people as much as they did with Star Wars. Fans didn't like the grim ending, they didn't like this or that, it's all rationalizing. They don't like going to the theater for Star Wars and getting something else. >So just keep making Star WarsThat's what Lucas did. More death stars, more Vader. The fatal flaw of the prequels is that they carry the Star Wars name and must prioritize repetition of the Star Wars experience over being good film. Lucas retroactively copes that pulp cinema or nostalgia for Flash Gordon made his success, but no one else copied Star Wars with success either. The movie was simply a tremendous visual and audio spectacle. You cannot make "more Star Wars" because it stops being spectacular and new after the first, this is the paradox which entrapped George.
