What are some western TV shows that were big in Japan?
Made a video wacking myself on the balls with a fly swatter and it had disproportionate views in japan and zambia

>>221175945that's a myth. it had a dub but wasn't massive or anything. south park is fairly well-known though and had a dub for a long time. i don't think it does anymore.a random fact is that aqua teen hunger force had a japanese dub, except ironically it was only of colon movie film for theaters and it was cut up into individual episodes. i think it was only released on dvd but someone uploaded it on youtube for a while before it got taken down. the dialogue was actually substantially rewritten to have jokes aimed at the japanese audience. like when shake is explaining sex to meatwad in the japanese version he ends it by quoting antonio inoki's "1-2-3 DA!" catchphrase and meatwad says "...so you turn into inoki?" and shake says something like "well it's pro westling in a sense." stuff like that. honestly it was well-done considering how challenging it is to translate a series like that which is so rooted in the improvised rhythm of the dialogue in english.
