Early spiderman has Gwen and MJ for love interests, he's also usually in high school. Sexy cat burglar that flirts with him doesn't really fit. By the time the movies get to older spiderman where she can work the story is winding down and it's not really the time place to start a love triangle. Honestly the best time to actually introduce her probably would be with the current Spiderman. He's college aged, MJ is out of the picture. She would fit in pretty great.
