>You see, people CHANGE in the maze
>Oh find the cup if you can, but be careful - you may just lose yourself along the way

What the fuck was he talking about? Not only was this a newly grown maze that hadn't existed before now, but nobody ended up "changing" in the maze anyway except maybe that one guy who was put under the imperius curse by an unauthorized interloper
>>
They just gave him bullshit to say
>>
>>221174991
Perhaps he was just trying to scare them so they take it seriously. There was never intended to be any danger

metaphor for life and whatnot. harry becomes steeled in his resolve against, voldemort, and cedric fucking dies. people change like that.
>>
>people change in a hockey rink
NUH UH
HOW CAN THEY?
THERE WAS A CONCERT IN THAT SAME ARENA 2 MONTHS AGO LMAO THEY *JUST* FROZE THAT ICE
>>
>>221175170
>There was never intended to be any danger
That's why the age limit was changed to 17 for their own safety and Sirius said people die in the tournament, right?
>>
>>221174991
Everyone was manic as hell in this movie. Kinda sounds like Dumbledore is urging Harry to just fucking kill Cedric and take the prize (Cho's vagina) for himself.

>I SAW A DAVID BOWIE SHOW IN THE PEPSI CENTER IT CHANGED MY LIFE
>FIND THE URINALS IF YOU CAN BUT BE CAREFUL YOU LOSE YOURSELF ALONG THE WAY
>Okay Boomer this is a Hockey Game
Dumbledore was literally just an old faggot
>>
>>221174991
He's talking about how otherwise good people can become intoxicated by the prospect of victory and commit violence against the others
>>
>>221174991
Don't forget that like 3 scenes later after Barty Crouch says he'll be welcomed back like a hero in Azkaban Dumbledore's like "personally I've never had much time for heroes"
>>
>>221174991
This whole movie was a mess and probably the most radically changed from page to screen adaptation. It left out entire characters and the whole backstory of the antagonist so in the movie the reveal feels very random whereas in the book there are various clues leading up to it.

How did Dumbledore know any of this would happen?

>vpn pedo

>No one will ever truly know what transpired in the maze beside you four, so whatever you do, DON'T go feral and massacre each other *gives each contestant an exaggerated magically assisted wink*
Dumbledore was a menace in this movie
>>
>>221174991
It's like they had no idea how to portray Dumbledore so just had him be aggressive and overly cryptic, moreso than in the books
>>
>>221174991
I just checked the book and there was no such line there in fact dumbledor didn't even talk to them. another pointless change, this movie is full of them

Dumbledore would say random stupid bullshit that made no sense in the books. Also he knew that he was sending harry into a deathtrap to confront Voldemort so fuck him and fuck hogwarts
>>
No copypasta?
>>
>>221175316
I stopped watching at the prisoner of azkaban. It did the same thing. Pointless changes that ruin it
>>
>>221175681
>Also he knew that he was sending harry into a deathtrap to confront Voldemort
Nah, he didn't, but that creates another problem. Depending on what the plot requires, Dumbledore is either a mastermind 5D chess player who's always 12 steps ahead and knows everything, or a retard who doesn't notice for an entire school year that one of his close friends is actually a random psycho in disguise.

I'm 27 years old and I've never watched a Harry Potter film. Growing up I thought it was 'cool' to not be into mainstream stuff or that it made me 'interesting' or whatever. Did I miss out? Should I watch them now as an adult? Are they any good?
>>
>>221177865
The books are good if you like young adult fiction, but I never liked the movies much.
>>
>>221177885
>if you like young adult fiction
Not particularly, it just makes me feel old and like I've wasted my best years. Anyway thanks for the quick reply, safe to say I WON'T be watching these films any time soon

>“Harry, the maze is an affliction! It grows within you and without you. Insidious to the core. To breathe in its spore, is to become a hedge knight! A raised royal rampart defender of the gracious green! You understand what I am saying, don’t you? When you’re in there it will be life and limb, shock and awe, blood and fucking bone! You have to kill the others, so Hogwarts can hail triumphant victory. Yes, yes, I know, Cedric is your friend. HOWEVER, you need to crack and twist his bones! CRACK AND TWIST HIS FUCKING BONES, AND EAT THE MARROW WITHIN!! He’ll be trying to do the same to you. I saw him looking at you, and he was lying with his eyes. Remember, this is the only way you get Cho. Wring his neck like a chicken, and bathe in his apostate blood. Total victory for Gryffindor, and total victory for Hogwarts! Go forth, and kill.”
>“kill. kill. kill. kill. kill. kill. kill.”
>Dumbledore said calmly.
