I don't think it's neither outright positive or negative. It fills me with some sort of dread though. Most of my life has been struggle and low paying jobs (not cleaning toilets at least) and there are moments of joy in between, but it's also alienating, an empty life. The "rat race" of success may be bullshit, but not doing anything is just as bad.
