There are numerous things he could have swapped eyes for it and it would have worked. In fact eyes are the only thing that could make the plothole. It gave me the same feeling as the This Is America song from Childish Gambino in that on its own its a pretty cool song with a solid beat, but it's only praised to heavens because the music video is all about the "black struggle in America" and you could not have anything negative to say about it without being viewed as a racist or whatever. Same with the Peele movies. They are above average and well directed. They are NOT some new level of horror or whatever dick sucking comments the critics were making. And his movies shamelessly always have to have some level of "look at how black people are oppressed in America still" added to it for no reason.
