>>221193335I have to agree I was checked out by the end of the club fight. Having seen tons of action movies I find they're actually better when there is a bit of restraint and character development that makes you care about what's happening
Honestly, one of the few movies I'm glad I saw in theaters lately. Especially when everyone cheered for the triple extreme close up at the end fight.
My audience cheered when a pregnant woman got stabbed in the belly.
>>221190646Modern movies don't have plots. I watched Normal and Mortal Kombat II and Ballerina (which was not too bad actually). Modern movies have no narrative because zoomers can't pay attention for more than 20 seconds. Those movies literally just went from scene to scene, voice over narration needed to remind people what was going on, it was sad. Storytelling isn't a thing anymore.
