I won't spoil any plot points, but I thought it was a little weird how several female characters remark on how "hot" Keanu is. I kind of looks like a bum for most of the movie, and he's gotta be nearly 60 at this point.
I just didn't buy it. Prime Keanu, sure. But if anyone just saw current Keanu dressed like a dishwasher and he's not a movie star, I just don't see him being regarded as so "hot".

I'm not a big fan of him either but he's really not the focus of the movie. They just gave him top billing to get asses in seats because he's the bigger star and Ansari was effectively canceled until relatively recently. I didn't even know he made a movie until I saw this one. I saw him on SNL recently and assumed he's out of the penalty box. He never deserved all that over what happened.
But Rogen is more of a supporting actor and he spends most of the movie suffering. I don't like him but I can admit when he's been good in things. He was good in 40 Year Old Virgin and Take This Waltz and I think a couple of other things.

I'll remember it. Kind of reminds me of the Ricky Gervais lying movie. In this age of trailers and clips and leaked scripts, I like to be surprised. I've found some wild movies just on accident. Like I wanted to rewatch Patrick Swayze's 'Next of Kin' recently and I went to pirate it and another movie from 1982 with the same title popped up so I thought, 'why not?'. Maybe it was the weed but I really got into it. Had some cringe moments but few movies are perfect. I felt for people with less than me. It made me want to be extra nice and tip extra well when interacting with some kind of task person or wage worker. They have it tough. I'm grateful that I'm comfortable and have had so many advantages. And yet I could still lose it all if I make the wrong choices. Something could turn my life upside down.
It made me reflect on my own life and the fragility of everything. And then I also thought that maybe it took being cancelled and a decade in the shadows for Aziz to write something like that. Not that he was some snobby rich dick and lost it all, but maybe he couldn't have written it without having hit career bottom and being adrift for so long. I was proud that he got back on his feet and that his buddy Rogen (again, I'm not a fan of his) helped him by being in his movie. The whole comeback was the feelgood part as much as the movie itself.
