Spaceballs was never funny and this goes for most of Mel Brook's movies. It's basically proto Family Guy, nothing but references to pass as humor. "Oh this is a Dracula/Robin Hood/Star Wars parody with the exact same plot as the orginal but here's a reference to another movie isn't this wacky".
