Then suddenly in season 6 that never happened. From then on Dobby has a different personality every season, and it's multiple seasons of the same "Mark and Dobby are together but they don't enjoy each other's company and never really do anything together so that's a problem" storyline over and over again. Theoretically that could be interesting, but they already did that in a far more sophisticated manner with Mark and Sophie, and with Dobby it's clear the writers just had no idea what to do with her so they tried whatever. Why were they so dedicated to this one minor character?
