It was ok. Felt kinda generic and uninspired. Like no new ideas since the alien/conspiracy thrillers of the 90s. Certainly nowhere near Close Encounters. But still above average compared to most films nowadays. Worth the admission price for 2 hours of entertainment, but will soon be forgotten.

OR
is it actually predictive programming for ayylmao disclosure???
>>
It was fucking dogshit and Close Encounters is garbage too and I'm tired of pretending it isn't. Stop licking this talentless kike propagandist's boots.

It wasn't made for fa/tv/irgins, it was made for boomers.

Yeah, demented slop made for boomers by a demented boomer.

the fact that the hero's goal was to leak information to television news shows you how out of touch spielberg is.
>>
>>221199174
why do you NPCs give dishonest opiniions?
it was objectively horrible and you know it was.

I will be the first to say it. Steven's worst.
>>
>hey actually why don't I just leak the videos online
>NOOO you can't just do that
I was waiting the whole movie for a reason why not. I guess they had an actual alien to show at the TV station but everyone seemed convinced enough by the videos without needing that. And anyone who still thought the videos were AI wouldn't have been convinced by that footage either.
If they wanted the trusted anchor to introduce it, they could have shot her intro on a phone anywhere.
The whole childhood-reliving ceremony could have been done anytime AFTER the disclosure, no?

Was there any reason at all to not just dump it on youtube?

Even the paid marketers are like "it was ok". Spielberg hasn't made a good movie in 40 years. His ratio of complete boomer garbage to decent movie has to be 20:1 at this point.

The most hilarious thing was the entire world stopping to watch the news TV broadcast on their phones. I don't think people would even be shocked or care anymore if it was revealed that there's aliens and the government has been lying about it for a long time. Also the TV anchor's reactions and acting were hilariously bad. Utterly delirious and demented boomer garbage. Revoke David Koepp's right to write movies and deport Spielberg to Israel.

certainly not made for cinematic values

>Wardex is the most powerful part of the deep state, guarding the most important secret in the history of humanity
>their enforcement ability is limited to chasing people around in normal cars and shooting at them with handguns, they don't use any aircraft or drones or longer range weaponry which might be more effective

in the real world, the Wardex CEO would be some 24yo sleazebag son of a hedgefund manager who went to school with the president, and he would get into 3AM twitter shitpost arguments with woke liberals, while he tells all his secrets to some russian spy slut that promises to suck his dick

>over a dozen agents go missing on the same day as the identified leader of an internal dissident group
>they all bring their personal cell phones to the city where their top secret project is located
>they don't turn them off until the day before they launch their operation
>oh we actually have a BACKDOOR into all of our agents cell phones
>nobody in the big bag clandestine organization thinks to track their phones until the last half hour of the movie
Bravo Steven
