>Commander Cody, the time has come...>Execute Order... uhh... Order.. Order... uhh... Order..
>>221199319still does
Cody always felt like a weird name for a commanding officer who reports directly to the Emperor
Is it just the words order 66 that activates their kill mode or his voice specifically? What if the lightning fried his vocal chords and he couldn't do it?
>>221199402It's his voice specifically but it would be interesting if he forgets which order it was
>>221199372I assume it's a reference to Commando Cody who was an old film serial hero from the 1950s. You know Lucas is a huge nerd when it comes to shit like that
>>221199319What happened to the clones between 3 and 4?
>>221199372Cody is a weird name for anything other than a preteen white boy.
knows his employees names, probably remembers birthdays too
>>221199319Did he have to call every clone commander individually?
>>221201106>t. literal George Lucas
>>221199402Probably just a command coming directly from whoever holds the officer of Chancellor
>>221202336How many clone commanders are there
>>221201162They age twice as fast, most were just kicked out and left to fend for themselves and ended up as security guards, goons for criminals, homeless, etc.
>>221199402In new "canon", it would activate the chip in their heads and make them act in ways they wouldn't have.In old proper canon, clones had been trained from the start that one day order 66 would be called and they would need to follow orders without mercy. No mind control chip involved.
>>221202336>>221203010https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNvRldjAOUY
>>221203004The Clone Wars retcons it into a pavlonian trigger due to a microchip. So i imagine if he lost his voice he couldnt do it since the chip would be pre programmed.
>>221199319>Ah, Commander Rex, I see you're with Skywalker's delicious orange jailbait apprentice. Very well, I'm amending it to Order 68.How the fuck did Filoni get away with it?
>>221204739>According to Star Wars lore and extended canon, Order 68 dictates that if a Jedi achieves enlightenment mid-battle, all nearby clones must applaud politely for exactly 4 seconds before resuming fireKek literally and then everyone clapped
>>221204739>>221204829Fugg, it was supposed to be 69. Stupid fat fingers.
>>221199319Order me a pizza
>>221201162It's implied they became stormtroopers.
>>221205398Thats also what happens in the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Campaigm as far as I remember
>>221205398>>221205553In old EU canon, a lot of clones on Kamino rebelled against the Empire and the Emperor destroyed them. Some stormtroopers are still clones, mainly the 501st, but otherwise most stormtroopers are regular human recruits. The Empire doesn't trust clones after their uprising so it kind of ended there.I have no idea what the new canon says. It's probably bullshit.
>>221199319>Execute Order 6 7
How is texting not a thing in that galaxy far far away?
>>22120601467 is shooting the chancellor.
>>221205949Wtf? The chip stops them from rebelling
>>221206075There were no chips in the EU canon, anon. This is Disney/Filoni retcon bullshit. In the original canon, clones were just extremely loyal soldiers and executed order 66 because they were trained to do so. Nothing more.
>>221206122ROTS is canon
>>221206075>What I remember about the rise of the Empire is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the Clone Wars, the 501st Legion was discreetly transferred back to Coruscant. >It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do.>Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts?>Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. >Not a word.
>>221206146Kino of the highest magnitude
>>221206146fan video games arent canonwatch the movies
>>221206179Funny you mention it, there are no chips in the movies either.
>>221206202Obi wan goes to Kamino cloning facility in AOTC
>>221206146sovl
>>221206231Correct. Not the point argued. There is no control chip in clones outside of Filoni/Disney slop. This is from AotC :>LAMA SUWe modified their genetic structure to make them less independent than the original host. As a result they are totally obedient, taking any order without question.>genetic structure
>>221206265if its not in the movies then it must not be canon
>>221206301That was the point being argued, yes, good job for catching up.
>>221206179>fan video games>Battlefront 2>voiced by Temuera Morrison >fanwat
>>221206458not created by lucas himselfthats the definition of fan
>>221206494So why are you defending control chips in clone trooper heads then? Filoni is not Lucas.
>>221199319McChicken.
>>221206508im not defending them, catch upsee >>221206437 and >>221206301
>>221206530Then don't reply to a comment chain of someone calling BF2 non canon because it's a "fan game", which was only posted in direct response to someone talking about control chips in clone brains. Which isn't a thing outside of Filonislop.Jesus.
>>221206685What's so hard to understand?Only movies are canon.
>>221206710Agreed. Meaning control chips aren't canon. Which was the point being argued. Thank you for catching up. You're getting there.
>>221206725Thank you, anon.
>>221206710One version with the control chips goes against the established canon of the movies. One version with the clones in Battlefront executing Order 66 of their own free will is in line with the established canon of the movies. So I'll ask your question; what's not to understand?

>>221201106Not it's a reference to the greatest American revivalist band of the 70s.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=868DSi85odQ
>>221206136>ROTS is canonThe canon has been altered. Pray I do not alter it further.
>>221205553I think one of the last scenes in Revenge of the Sith actually has a bunch of Temeura Morrisons in imperial officer uniforms standing around a star destroyer.
>>221199319SISSY SICKS
>>221205553It created a new implication within Leia's line to Luke in disguise, "kinda short for a stormtrooper." Like she knows he's too short to be a clone of Jango Fett.
>>221208033It still blows my mind but also warms my heart that Jason Genova got the lolcow “happy ending” got grounded from the internet
>>221208076I always interpreted that as her subtly referencing her knowledge of the existence of a larger Luke Skywalker.
