4chanbros...
that's how the meme human centipede has worked for decades, this isn't new
>>221204329Lol they got the wrong site keeek
>>221204439>didn't read the article The director was on some subreddit and got inspired to do the movie.
>>221204496>Tertiary making a movie based on backrooms secondaries' shitPrimarybros....
>>221204544It's one shitpost. That's not a movie, you retard
>>221204560You don't get it, bro, what if you noclip somewhere, woah. What a genius. He wrote that in >2019Oh no no no So "original"
>>221204329Film is a dead medium
>>221204496Of course he'd said that because admitting to be a 4channer would get him blacklisted by petty industry elites
>>221204662... The subreddit tried to flesh out this one faggy shitpost from here. As in doing some actual world building besides noclipping somewhere. Again. So original. Whoa. Imagine noclipping, dude.
>>221204702Did 4chan invent teleporting somewhere unknown and eerie in 2019?
What would they even find here except Chud narrative?
>>221204749It totally did.!!!FACT!!!!
>>221204771
I had a really good idea for a 'viral' low budget film. Half stolen from facebookBut then I realised that low budget in this context was still tens of thousands and much more than I could afford
Give us the blue button red button movie already
I made a shitpost on /biz/ a few years ago that got screencapped and reposted. Then some anon linked a huge reddit thread saying "they're stealing our memes". It was a screencap of the screencap of my post. Though I haven't heard anything about it since then (though it still gets reposted occasionally on /biz/).Maybe I should write a screenplay about it.
>>221204879There are multiple twitter users reposting everything from here. I'm still not convinced that they get any money from it. Use a tripcode if you care so much about your posts
>>221204329>idea from 4chan>"quick! let's mine reddit!"good
>>221204906I don't care about my postsI'm just saying maybe my shitpost is worth a movie dealI mean... it's obviously not. But who am I to say? I'm not a movie producer
>>221204807Was backrooms low budget? chiwetel ejiofor was in it. That guy was in countless movies and carried Backrooms
>>221204329surely a bountiful trove of creativity awaits them
>>221204927All better than "noclipping" into an empty building
>>221204925Had a reported budget of $10m. So yes. Not low by what you or I would consider. But low budget by hollywood standards.
>>221204855That twitter, reddit thing? Why? >All of 4chan is just reposts from reddit and twitter When you're right you're right.
>>221204927My Creature cinematic universe when?
how will they handle this scene?
>>221204968It's just the paranormal activity for gen z. Why do horror movie watchers have no taste?>Hollywood is over >Low budget horror movie changed the world >Nothing changed This time it'll be different, because... it just will, OKAY?!??
>>221204329>>221204439>>221204662>>221204912Reddit has been reposting shit from 4chan for years now for easy upvotes and gold
>>221205030Same as 4chan. Cross reference threads with reddit and you'll see that almost all threads on all boards are just reposts from reddit or twitter
>>221205030This thread that you're currently posting in is a repost of a popular post on Reddit >It's a pic of an article ,i-it's not f-from reddit And you conveniently didn't find it before someone posted it on Reddit, suuuure.
Of course the screenshot is true, it makes sense. Didn't read the thread just wanted to blurt out sarcasm at your faces.
>>221204968Paranormal activity is way more impressive. What was the budget back then? 10k? And it made millions.
>>221204927The creature is what I call my ex-wife haha.
Nah, bro, but imagine if you noclip into a moist, damp room and it's 500 trillion square miles big, woah and there's a creature there. So scary
It's a tale as old as the minotaur and the labyrinth. What makes the Backrooms unique is the flavor.
>>221205269The setting, the 90s and Chiwetel were never mentioned by the original shitpost. The stupio made it what it is.
>>221205030>That guy was a bouncer and in top physical shape when he got offered the partKubrick made him get fat just for the giggles
>>221205107Backrooms isn't the super-duper impressive one.Don't get me wrong/ Backrooms is very impressive and has become a24's highest grossing film of all time on a very modest budget, which is definitely news in its own right. But Obsession is the complete break to the system. Budget of $750k. Outperformed Star Wars, head-to-head. Made more in its second and third week than in its first week. Literally unprecedented.
>>221205918The question is: why? What about it made people want to go see it, and then tell their friends to go see it? I thought it was fine. The premise was fun. The lead actress was good. But it also had a lot of nonsense, parts of it were slow and dull, and not all of the "suspense" parts landed.So... why?Meanwhile, I didn't think Backrooms went far enough into the absurd. It tried to be more serious and dramatic than it had any business being.
>>221204329They haven't been running to reddit for the last 10 years they've been pushing reddit slop? WTF
>>221204439>Hollywood goes to 4chan>The Batman 2 and Simpsons Movie 2 are just full of Bane and Farmer memes
>>221204329So...SCP and what else?
>>221205385Damn you people really are fucking parasites.
>>221205385I think you misunderstood what I was getting at. What I'm saying is that the core concept of the movie and why it scares people is an ancient one. Being chased by a monster through a human structure so large that you get lost in it. That's really what's the backrooms is, the fear of being trapped in the labyrinth. Perhaps what really needs to be done for adopting Internet creepy pastas isn't about just stealing what seems new but recognizing what concepts they pull from antiquity.
