you know what's really an overrated film? scarface.it was seen as the exploitation shit acting schlock it was at release, but got really really popular with rappers in the 90s that completely rehabilitated it. give it a critical viewing separated from the memes (SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND) and it completely falls apart. and if you want to claim it doesn't, go watch some direct to video action movies staring the old geezers. they are just as good. have a hell of a time, but just admit that it is pig slop.

He wasn't wrong. Most of those movies are overrated and some of them are overrated to such a degree that it takes away from them. What was more surprising is he didn't enjoy flicks like Heat or Snatch and Lock, Stock just for entertainment value. Maybe he expected more because people kept asking for an analysis on Heat. Who are those people that think Heat is that deep?
