the worst thing is when they abandoned the whole fish-out-of-water aspect with Fry. a few seasons in, he was just comfortably living in the future. none of it was new/alien any more. it effectively stopped being set in the future (just some status quo life for him: could have been a fantasy realm he grew accustomed to, didn't matter any more).missed opportunity for jokes like '9/11? Huh? What was that?'
He usually talks too much and his voice is annoying but I think it’s the writers fault for having bad premises and overplaying him

>>221216015Apparently the Hulu era is ending this year so let's see what kind of note they'll end it on. It has to be open ended if say Apple buys the rights and wants to reboot it again. They ran out of ideas during the Comedy Central era and the VAs sound way too old for their characters. Fry and Leela are supposed to be in their twenties but their VAs are in their seventies. Let the show end for real this time.
