It isn't. It's no different than watching Sex and the City. Go watch The Shield for actual good TV made for men and not neurotic faggots who are non-threateningly "masculine" and LARP as such.

He's an asshole, most of his problems are his own creation, he's very rarely rewarded for his actions, when he is he can't appreciate it because he'd dead inside, and the arc of the show is his life getting worse and worse

The younger generations are worthless drug-addicted sycophants and the older generations are soft and suburbanized. It's a show about the mob dying, the characters just illustrate the plot points.
