The revenge killing in the Godfather part 2 really stood out to me, it's just so miserable and unsatisfying. Guy spent his entire life dwelling on this moment, but at this point so much time has passed that he's a geriatric old man now, he barely even knows what's going on around him, and Vito's close friend gets permanently crippled.
