The official take is that the sun is so far away from the moon that the sun rays coming down onto the moon's surface are basically coming in parallel, all across it. Meaning that the entire moon's surface that gets hit by the sun should basically be lit up to the same intensity all across, but in the official images you have many spotlight effects, where the ground is lit up with a circular spotlight, while outside of it, and especially in the back, you see the light intensity drop a lot.

the myth of The Wall
>>
>>221221655
The most oft-repeated claim is that they had started shooting an episode on myths about common household items and chemicals that could be used to create explosives and ended up stumbling upon a ridiculously simple way of making an extremely volatile explosive (the exact compound is unknown, but the generally accepted most-likely candidate is TATP, which is notorious for not only being manufacturable from common household chemicals, but also for being prone to blowing up during production, and which was also one of only a handful of explosive compounds which was undetectable by instruments of the time the episode would have been made).

Basically, they stumbled on a really easy way to make something super dangerous and which probably would have opened them up to serious liability and litigation and decided that they, their viewers, and the public, would be better off without that floating around on cable.
>>
>>221225036
>Also still not as dumb as pyramid power

>>

>The official take is that the sun is so far away from the moon that the sun rays coming down onto the moon's surface are basically coming in parallel
That's hardly an "official take." That's just really basic physics and optics that a schoolkid could prove with the sun and a flashlight.

>the ground is lit up with a circular spotlight, while outside of it, and especially in the back, you see the light intensity drop a lot.
The intensity only drops off "a lot" in edited photos where the contrast has been increased. In the original unedited photos, there's barely a difference at all, and the barely brighter area corresponds perfectly with where surface dust would be blasted away from rocket exhaust during landing.
>>
>>221225640
Show me some of those unedited photos.

>corresponds perfectly with where surface dust would be blasted away from rocket exhaust during landing
There are images of the lunar lander after landing which had gold foil cups on its legs and they have 0 dust on it every time, so that didn't happen. Unless you can post a single image of those legs having dust on them too.

>>
James Gunn?
>>
>>221225640
Why would the landing feet have dust on them if the dust was already blown away by the rocket exhaust? If exhaust is blowing dust away, it's getting pushed out and away from the landing site. There's no air for it to get caught up and swirl around in before settling down more or less in the same spot, like on a landing foot. Each dust particle would get pushed away and continue travelling in a trajectory outward until it hits the surface again somewhere away from the landing site.

>Why would the landing feet have dust on them if the dust was already blown away by the rocket exhaust?
Because when you blow dust it doesnt just roll off the ground, even if there is no air for dust to go far up and then down very very slowly, a lot of it would still get kicked up, and catch onto the cup shaped legs while being pushed away from the center of the lander.
The moon was very dusty as can be seen on all footage when they interact with the ground at any point with any object, the lunar lander, their feet etc was caked in dust very quickly, but the lander's feet shaped like cups which should catch dust easily were 100% completely spotless.
You can also see more footage of how the dust gets thrown around during the landing footage by the very powerful rocket in the documentary while afterwards it doesn't seem like anything was really disturbed even right beneath the rocket.

This should be simple enough for you to prove. They sell cheap vacuum chamber kits for silicon degassing (chamber and pump) for like a hundred bucks. Set up a little fake lander with some compressed gas (maybe one of those mini CO2 cannisters) and some dust on the bottom and spritz some gas onto the dust. See how much of it falls back in on the lander's legs. Boom, you just disproved 60 years of space exploration for the price of a couple fast food takeouts.

>Feel free to explain
A camera is a machine
It has to choose what's in focus, and for that it has to disregard things that are not in focus
It will block out dim lights (like from the stars) and burn all brighter lights (like the outline of the suit) in order to just get the range of light in the suit
The blocking out dim lights also works for the land, the further you are, the more it'll "block" out or dim, because it's not in focus
Or something like that, I don't need to be a camera expert just get the gist of it
In this pic, there's not a "spotlight" behind the astronaut
That's the brightest part of the land ON THIS PIC, because that just so happen to be what's captured most for the aperture/exposition or whatever that makes the suit in that exact position in focus.
If the astronaut is in another pose that's lit in a different way so the camera has to refocus, another part of the ground could be the "most bright" that makes it look like a spotlight.
This is how I understand it and seems reasonable and not stupid

In the image you yourself posted you have everything closer, in front of the astronaut, in focus and yet its darker than the rest of the surface.
>>
>>221226674
That's sustained constant sensory overload.
That's not "an orgasm", like a climax thing that burst and decreases rapidly.
The myth is that the girl mounts a climax and burst along with you, when her system is actually never doing that and that she can keep doing the thing forever untill her brain is cooked.

The front is SHARP, but not IN FOCUS, that's just you being retarded
The astronaut is in focus and the camera is set to capture the suit as much as possible,, and all light coming into the camera dims or burns to keep the astronaut in focus.
Whatever weird shit it does with the background doesn't matter.
The front is darker, the back of the astronaut is brighter, the background hill is darker. Non of that matter because it's not fucking taking a fucking picture of the landscape, it's taking a picture of the astronaut.
Whatever light fits or not with the background doesn't matter (to the camera).

>Perceptions about bare feet began changing in the 1990s when cross migration between the alt.rec.nude and alt.rec.backcountry newsgroups sparked discussion about whether it really was illegal to drive barefoot. (No, according to a widely circulated Internet survey by the alt.folklore.urban newsgroup, though Alabama does frown on anyone riding a motorcycle without shoes.) That led to more discussion about what was and wasn't legal, as well as myths associated with the practice. Proponents say the discussion helped lower inhibitions about setting our piggies free.

>>
>>221227260
The argument of "why didnt ussr complain that it was fake then?" has a simple answer.

If you supposedly had real-time conversation of the president and the astronauts which was televised to everyone, how would the ussr look like if after they just said "No, it's fake!". They would look like sore loser clowns.

The same question can be asked about the recent covid which everyone went through. "Why would the entire world, all countries, organizations, and most doctors lie?".

Because:
1. Most of this is heavily compartmentalized, most doctors are just regular people who take orders and do what they are told, they don't have the opportunity to see the whole picture and they don't need to. They just need to be told that X medicine is good.
2. Most people in governments and corporations also don't need to be in the know, and the very few people at the very top that are in the know all just want to stay there, because they view themselves as a group beyond some national borders.

With one very very simple explanation? Sure!
I'm going to amuse you, little retard, but this will be my final message because I gotta get back to work
I'm going to leave you like a bitch with a very simple explanation.
Those cameras are bulky, and the suit makes it difficult to make a selfie. It doesn't have a digital preview that lets you see what's taken. It's literally a shoebox with a button that you point and pray it gets something.
The nigga inside doesn't have the time to wait for the full aperture or whatever bullshit lense captures light to settle down and even out. It's a quick photo with a bulky shit.
If in the process of taking that pic, he very realistically covers the "fall off" part of the helmet for a split second moving his hand up trying to grasp the shoebox, or turn his head to the "fall off" side for a split second, or any other number of a million equally realistic posibilities on the process of taking the pic, that could cover that "fall off" side for a second, the "hotspot" side will have more bright light for longer on the camera, that will make it seems like the other side is not as dark.

The myth states that an act of physical intimacy between two men is completely devoid of any homosexual context *unless* there is direct, scrotal-on-scrotal contact. According to internet folklore, this is the definitive, immutable threshold.

Exactly! But here at the shop, we don't just take internet folklore at face value. We test it. And how do you test a high-velocity, high-stakes collision theory? You build a giant pneumatic launcher, obviously.
### **THE SETUP**
**[CUT TO: THE ALAMEDA NAVAL AIR BASE. THE RUNWAY IS CLEAR. THE SUN IS BEATING DOWN.]**
**NARRATOR (V.O.)**
To test this scientifically—and safely—the guys have recruited twenty brave, highly compensated, and incredibly confused stuntmen.
**[SHOT OF TWENTY MEN IN GYM SHORTS, STANDING IN A LINE, LOOKING NERVOUSLY AT A MASSIVE STEEL APPARATUS.]**
**ADAM**
*(Holding a megaphone)*
Welcome, gentlemen! Today, you are pioneers of science. We have modified our classic high-pressure nitrogen cannon into a dual-track, synchronized human slingshot.

>welp, better not say anything, don't wanna look like sore losers
no one is as stupid as you're pretending to be, so knock it off.

PAN TO: THE "BALLISTIC BRO-LAUNCHER." TWO PARALLEL TRACKS FACING EACH OTHER, EQUIPPED WITH REINFORCED SLINGSHOT CRADLES DESIGNED TO LAUNCH HUMANS HORIZONTALLY, FEET TRAILING, FRONTAL REGIONS FORWARD.]
JAMIE
To ensure absolute safety and isolation from any psychological bias, Adam and I will be monitoring the results from 100 yards back, safely behind this polycarbonate blast shield.
[CUT TO: JAMIE AND ADAM STANDING BEHIND A THICK LEXAN SHIELD. JAMIE IS HOLDING A DETONATOR BOX. ADAM IS WEARING A FULL FACE SHIELD AND COUNTING DOWN ON HIS FINGERS.]
THE EXPERIMENT
NARRATOR (V.O.)
The parameters are simple. Two men. One hundred yards of separation. Accelerated to a relative velocity of forty-five miles per hour. Target acquisition: direct structural convergence.
ADAM
(Over radio)
Load Bro-1 and Bro-2 into the cradles!
[TWO STUNTMEN ARE SECURED INTO THE SLINGSHOTS. THEY GIVE A WEARY THUMBS-UP.]
ADAM
Alright, Jamie. Pressure looks good. Nitrogen tanks are at 2,500 PSI. On my count... Three! Two! One! LAUNCH!
[JAMIE FLIPS THE SWITCH.]
[LOUD PNEUMATIC WHOOSH! CLANCK!]
[SLOW-MOTION CAMERA: THE TWO MEN ARE HURTLED TOWARD EACH OTHER AT BREAKNECK SPEED. THE SOUND OF RUSHING WIND. THEY COLLIDE IN THE EXACT CENTER OF THE TRACK WITH A DULL THUD AND A LOUD "OUCH!"]
[THEY TUMBLE SAFELY ONTO A MASSIVE PILE OF FOAM MATTRESSES.]
THE EVALUATION
[ADAM AND JAMIE RUN OUT FROM BEHIND THE BLAST SHIELD WITH A CLIPBOARD.]
ADAM
(Inspecting the crash site)
Alright, contact was confirmed! We had definitive, sub-centimeter proximity engagement. Let's check the vitals. Guys, how do you feel?
STUNTMAN #1
(Groaning, holding his ribs)
My shoulder hurts.
ADAM
But structurally... emotionally... do you suddenly feel a desire to update your interior design preferences or download a specific dating app?
STUNTMAN #2
(Staring blankly)
No. I just want my check, man.

Claiming you will win the most important political race of all time you spent an insane amount of money on and pushed propaganda for, for years and years on end only to fail at the end would be great PR for the government and they would never just... lie. The government is known for not lying, especially about something like that. The fact that they themselves admit no doing things like experimenting on regular people of society secretly in the most vile experiments nobody got punished for during all of those times also is irrelevant and doesn't mean anything.

If you think the feasability and value of a moon base is something worth actually considering I have a bridge to sell you, on the moon.

THE CONCLUSION
[CUT TO: THE M5 SHOP. ADAM AND JAMIE ARE STANDING BY THE WHITEBOARD.]
JAMIE
Well, after nineteen more iterations of high-velocity impact, the data speaks for itself. We observed zero shifts in sexual orientation, zero romantic tension, and a significant amount of bruising.
ADAM
It turns out that launching twenty dudes at each other balls-first doesn't change who they are—it just makes them incredibly sore. The idea that a specific physical contact point acts as a magical, binary switch for human sexuality is completely unfounded.
JAMIE
So, the physics are clear, the biology is clear, and the sociology is clear.
ADAM
This myth is... BUSTED.
[A MASSIVE EXPLOSION ROCKS THE BACKGROUND FOR NO APPARENT REASON AS THE MYTHBUSTERS LOGO SLAMS ONTO THE SCREEN.]

They could've, and still could if it were true, photograph the supposed landing site to show what is or isn't there. After all, a few countries and even private companies have done this.

No, you won. You defeated with me with the greatest argument "it was fake because the US had to save face because they're dumb". It's like if I were to debate Socrates; I'm utterly outmatched without any possibility of success.

And yet the Russians would lie about it, even though they lost?

Why didn't any country expose covid as a meme and instead they let all of their own people get injected with something that they had no idea what it really was with no actual long term studies for?

another inorganic thread where one guy jokingly greentexts about the moonlanding and the entire air force base goes on high alert to shut down any conspiracy talk

Even if this was to be granted in it's entirety for the sake of the argument, it doesn't prove that humans themselves step foot on the moon, which was the entire point.

They also used ordinary funeral pyres which don't have the limitations of ovens. You can scale corpse disposal as much as you want as long as you have wood and a labor force.

>>221227541
>but they're apparently going to do it now
They were apparently going to do it many times over and it went nowhere but sure, we'll see.
>>
>>221227579
The difference in magnitude doesn't matter because there is no way to easily disprove something people got shown on television supposedly happened. Especially in the time where people didn't have internet, phones, social media, video sharing sites etc. The average person would just hear the news on the american tv or american newspaper that ussr complained it was fake like sore losers and that would be it.

Even today despite having all these things and the evidence against many things in this world majority of the people dont care and just believe what the government tells them on any topic.
>>
>>221227560
There would be massive deposits of burned/partially broken down bone fragments containing the remains of hundreds of thousands of people if this were the case (not to mention the vast deposits of ash and forensic evidence of this left behind if done on this scale). Bones have to be ground separately in special machines after cremation in order to produce a fine powder that is mixed back in with the ash. Basically it's fake and easily debunked fairytales like this have to be created from thin air to make it even remotely plausible.
>>
>>221227071
"I know something you don't know" is the core behind all conspiracy theorists. They aren't interested in real proven conspiracies because knowing about it doesn't make them a special boy.

Grim. Another concession accepted.
>>
>>221227560
So that's EASIER to cover that just buring a body?
You can snap someone, dig a hole, and dump the whole body in one go.
If you are talking about funeral pyres, you are talking about collecting 206 bones individually times the persons you want in your pyre ON THE GROUND
Not on a furnace with an ashtray or shit you accommodate, you are now talking about open ground thousands of bones

You're shifting the goalposts. Earlier it was that the government lies because it's retarded but doesn't want to admit it, but post-coof the government is lying because it's evil and duplicitous. How can the government be inept and a mastermind at the same time?

Like I said in the very thing you quoted
>or that it's impossible for many to be stupid while the few at the top are evil?"
