I was incredibly bitter about the premise of "everyman" Ted dating all these incredible women and even just the ones he encountered without ending up dating them. It kept reminding me of how stuck my social life is and how forever alone I am. Luckily I got out of that funk. My social life is still not great, but I got over the bitterness and I really enjoyed bingeing HIMYM. Not a perfect show, lot's of lull, but I enjoyed the adventurous writing, running gags and sometimes high concept stuff they played around with. For a 22min comedy show really great.
