Loved this movie, i think d&d is probably fun, don't know don't have friends. But the fact the premise of this movie is, it is a d&d movie allows for things like the niggadin, the female barbarian, the wimpy White bard etc. So we're off to a good start, as the premise allows for such.
I also like that the characters are actually quite charming. Even the barbarian with his half-ling (of course, it's a White male) fuck toy.
Hell i even hand-waved the race mixing and the mutt kid whose ugly as fuck because Pine is that charming.

I'll be honest though, the female-plays-a-disinterested-eye-rolling-bored-of-everything- archetype needs to fucking disappear. I'm about tired of seeing it in real life, tired of seeing it in media. It's never been charming, charismatic, quaint, cute, endearing etc. You're just acting like a straight cunt that needs to be punched in the face.

Would say my highlights are the lighting, almost everything was in focus and well lit (why is this rare these days), everything was colourful which was enjoyable, and the niggadin was honestly my favorite part. Watching a clip on youtube where he walks off and over the rock years after it came out was what actually got me to watch the movie.

It perfectly captures the feeling of a D&D game where nothing goes according to plan and the group has to pivot. It's a good enough fantasy team-up movie but it's an even better encapsulation of a fun and goofy D&D campaign.
