That's because he's a restaurateur not a chef. He's long past the point where he actually does any cooking for people other than on a TV show. I wouldn't trust Ramsay to make anything considered to be normal-people food because he overcomplicates food with his michelin restaurant mindset.

I quit the industry because of Ramsay. Kitchen Nightmares was great for a laugh but all of a sudden, everybody is a health inspector or culinary expert. Entry level cooks would come in for trial shifts acting like they are top shit, giving you advice. Customers are trying to invent problems to have tantrums about.it was proto-Karen behaviour which of course existed but was heavily popularised by Kitchen Nightmares. I had a customer walk into the kitchen to inspect the fridges and beneath the cook areas during a service rush, just some random wanker pretending like he had any knowledge about health regulations and food safety standards. Another guy one time stood up and yelled that his food was undercooked, told every customer to stop eating because it's unsafe and did the whole routine.For near minimum wage, it wasn't worth the headache. It's no surprise to me that basically only fast food is left now.
