Did he deserve everything that happened to him
>>

we dont take kindly to sisterfuckers round here
>>
He essentially sacked Winterfell and had a whole bunch of people, who treated him well, murdered. Including (as far as he knew) having children killed.
>>

>treated him well
Theon was a hostage. His dad started a rebellion, lost, and he became a captive member of their court under threat of losing his head if the Iron Islands ever stepped out of line again
>>
>>221236022
I don’t think he deserved to lose his penis. How do you even recover from that?
>>
>>221236299
I've seen hostages treated worse
>>

>Theon was a hostage
and treated better than ned's own bastard son. while the peasantry are getting frostbite farming turnips and fending off weekly wildling raids
>>
>>221236299
>yeah he killed kids but have you considered that you're being rude to his feelings
>>
>>221236299
A hostage that was treated better than 99.9% of the people who live in Westeros and had the genuine love and respect of his adopted family.

>Theon was a hostage.
You do know this had a pretty different meaning in other times and places? Yeah he was a hostage, but he was also a ward.
>>
>>221236022
In a way, no, but in the end: yes.
He was insecure with daddy issues.
He had nothing to prove to his father who was jaded neet loser remnicent of the good old times.
Theon was a seasoned veteran of a war also, commanded forces and wet his sword in battle, but he was so meek (heh) in the eyes of his father he was trying to earn his laurels there too. A 'perfect' character would've just walked away.
>>
>murders and burns children he KNOWS are innocent
>pshh nothin personnel, Winterfell
>>
>>221236022
Why didn't he just stab Ramsey in the back while he was gaping Sansa? He has many opportunities. This whole arc was a humiliation ritual for the viewer.
>>
>>221237085
He was broken before that, that was the point of the torture. He doesn't rescue Sansa in the books either.
>>
>>221237962
Sansa isn't there in the books. He rescues Jeyne.
>>
>>221236022
He killed two innocent kids.
>>
>>221236022
No. He deserved a clean death.

Rookie numbers.

They were making a move. Theon had to get it on.
