Great book, easily my favorite EU novel.

You're on /tv/. If you want to be big boy, go to one of the smart people boards like...uh... Honestly, I think you should just leave all together. Net improvement for everyone involved.

I want to push you to be your best, anon. But consooming starshit for the rest of your life is stunting your overall growth and development. Samefagging to mask your embarrassment doesn't help either.

There is nothing more embarrassing and pathetic than Star Wars "books" consumers. No one will ever take you morons seriously, lmao.

Read the ROTS novelization.

It's terrible, and you can only be impressed by it if you have never read anything in your life.
"This is how it feels to be an illiterate star wars eu goycattle. Forever."
It's also trillion times worse than the movie and outright ruins it in so many crucial places.

How they be illiterate when they read books? Either way you should do something better on a Friday evening.
>>
>>221237705
Consuming Dollar store Temu franchise licensed shit written by third rate no name sci-fi hack writers does not count as reading. It's the McDonalds of literature, actual slop. Sure, you are "eating", but it's slop that doesn't develop your brain in any way. You should do something better with your life than trying to gaslight people into wasting their precious time on it.

Andor was fine, it should have been acolyte. Never saw acolyte so I won't say definitely that it was shit, but the premise and clips looked fucking stupid and I very much believe all the reviews that say it was trash.

all film novels are better than the one for Revenge of the Sith
>>

Plagueis was never supposed to be real. It was a tall tale to get Anakin on Sheev's side. But Star Wars fans are retarded so they had to give him his Wookiepedia entry and Glup Shitto it into the """lore""".
>>
>>221238107
>Plagueis was never supposed to be real
he's supposed to be Palpatine's master, killed long ago. but the EU being EU had to shove it into TPM like some random fanfic
>>
>>221238128
>shove it into TPM
Wait what?!
>>
>>221238128
No, Palpatine made him up to entice Anakin. Oh, he was this dude who had JUST the right power to save your wife, if you turn Sith you could use it too, I could teach youuuu...
Then, tirns out that power didn't exist, it was all made up but Anakin was a retard and said "welp, time to murder to kids."
>>
>>221238077
>blaster-proof armored chair with an energy shield and a phone line directly to your slaves so you can order space McDonalds
Kino
>>
>>221238160
>Then, tirns out that power didn't exist
dude, just pay attention to the movies:
>to cheat death is a power only one has achieved
Palpatine never said he did it or was able to do it. Plagueis was real and he was able to keep people alive but he was murdered by Palpatine
>>
>>221237153
I haven't been a Star Wars fan for a while but it's objectively a good book that mogs quite a few of the movies. You need to understand nuance and levels of quality.
>>
>>221238201
I enjoyed Darth Plagueis more than any of the Star Wars movies honestly. It's just a really good sci-fi/fantasy book.
>>
>>221238197
Anon, don't you think it's rather convenient that this guy just so happened to have that power, the exact one Anakin needed desperately and would do anything to possess? Do you think Sheev is a trustworthy character not prone to deception?
>>
>>221238160
>No, Palpatine made him up to entice Anakin. Oh, he was this dude who had JUST the right power to save your wife, if you turn Sith you could use it too, I could teach youuuu
That story was probably bullshit, but the part where he describes Plageus manipulating the midichlorians to make life was how Anakin happened.
>>
>>221238230
When you have multiple authors working on different projects, it's inevitable that some will be better than others, sometimes in a very overt way. Wojak spammers don't understand this and think it's all the same despite consuming lowest common denominator slop from Japan and acting like it's high art.
>>
sheev and shmee sitting on a tree
>>
>>221237119
>Palpatine show about his rise to power
But...that was the prequel trilogy? What did George mean by this?
>>
>>221238257
You can manipulate people by telling them the truth also. In fact it's better than doing it with lies. Just because he is willing to lie doesn't mean he's lying all the time.
What he didn't tell Anakin is that he never learned this power from Plagueis and the secret died with him, making it impossible for Anakin to learn it.
>>
IT'S IRONIC
>>
>>221237344
>I still talk to my father once a week
Does he respond to you?
>>
>>221238257
>don't you think it's rather convenient that the devil just so happens to have that selfish power, the one the protagonist needed desperately and would do anything to possess?
no, I don't. it's a morality tale, anon. the devil will tempt the hero with that which will satisfy his selfishness. the issue is not that the thing is false, but that it shouldn't be desired to begin with
>>
Plagueis' only weakness was his trust in his apprentice and his arrogance in believing the Rule of Two no longer applied to him. Plagueis the Fool indeed. I like how the end of the novel hints that Palpatine was manipulating him the entire time, even before officially becoming his apprentice. Sidious really was that good. He could have killed Plagueis at any time.
>>
>>221238404
Yeah, Plagueis was brilliant when it came to the Force, but when it came to plotting, machinations and politics, he was a child next to Sidious.
>>
>>221238230
Now compare that to Darth Bane "trilogy". I AM MAD, I HAVE TO GO TO SITH SCHOOL AND BEAT THESE OTHER STUDENTS IN DRAGON BALL Z STYLE FIGHTING TOURNAMENT AND UH.... TWO IS BETTER THAN 2000.

Plagueis was real, as in Palpatine did have a Sith Master named Darth Plaguies whom he killed a long time ago, naturally, because there can only be two, and the way Sith Apprentice becomes a Sith Master is by killing his Sith Master. But the story was bullshit. He could not save anyone from death. Palpatine made that up to seduce Anakin. Lucas directly confirmed all of this, by the way.

>>221238155
According to the shitty fanfic book, not only was he alive during Phantom Menace, but he was in this scene, just barely off-screen. Lmao. It's so retarded. In the same movie where it's stated "there can only be two, a master and an apprentice", and we are introduced to Darth Sidious and Darth Maul, the two Sith, Master and an Apprentice with Darth titles, some shitty book from over a decade later written by some hack casually shoehorns the third Sith in there, who's supposed to be long dead, both thematically and narratively for the story to make any sense. EU shit, not even once.
>>
>>221238310
>>221238387
Rather careless of Palpatine to kill the guy who had such a great power without learning it himself. But sure, he's a character who's prone to bonehead moves and not thinking things through or playong the long game
>b-b-but he couldn't learn it, it was an innate power
Shut the fuck up retards, it's the force. What a force user does, other can do as well.
>>
>>221238698
Bane is different from them because he came from a poor background and adopted a 'Might makes right' mentality, compared to Sheev and Plagueis who were pampered upper class.
>>
>>221238404
>>221238485
Plagueis knew he was destined to be killed, and he knew what Palpatine was. Inevitability and fate are big themes. At one point, when he boarded a ship he was planning on hijacking the crewmembers midichlorians had already been lined up in preparation for the death of their hosts for several days before he even knew he needed a ship.
>>
>>221238752
It would have taken him years to learn that power, and in that time Sidious would have had to continue to play the obsequious apprentice, and he wanted to be master and saw himself as superior to Plagueis. So either spend the next 50 years learning some power that Plagueis might be willing to teach you or... just kill the fucker and become the Sith Master. Understandable that he chose to simply kill the dude.
>>
>>221238729
Do you have autism? Serious question.
