As you know, the previous two films in the Minions saga followed the trio of Stuart, Kevin and Robert, lovingly dubbed the "Big Three" by Minions superfans. But, for this instalment, it appears that Illumination has taken a bold and unexpected risk by introducing us to a whole new cast of Minions characters. While some fans dismiss this as abandoning their core audience and appealing to the masses, I view it with a sense of cautious optimism, after all, we weren't all enamoured with the Big Three after their first endeavour, it took multiple years of fun adventures and stories for fans to truly get on board with the series. So maybe the franchise's new direction will end up being a major success, and this mysterious new cast of Minions will capture our hearts just like Kevin, Bob and Stuart did all those years ago.
