Now that the dust has settled, was Modern Family kino?
>>221245671We only watched it for Phil and Jay
Watched this recently and it’s 100% kino. The only annoying part is Phil is a grating Reddit character, and the writers love dumb puns way too much (big for the time) but also it represents something that writers today are incapable of, and that’s letting the viewer decide for themselves how to feel about a characterJay could not be written in the last 6 years. Shows today are for mental babies, and Jay struggling to come to terms with a gay son or be moderately conservative coded would not be acceptable in a Twitter world of dogmatic virtue signaling. Here he is portrayed as smart, wise, and yes stubborn and slow to come along. Characters like him and Ron Swanson were basically written as stand ins for your boomer dad to watch the show and eventually approve of gay marriage and big govt because their on TV avatars did. At least then the writers for these shows wrote these characters as an olive branchNow it’s all just trash and if a character has any hint of an -ism he must be irredeemable , a moron, or both
>>221245671Pretty much every episode made me laugh but it's not a show I ever plan on rewatching. It was just on and it was funny. Kino? I guess. Even with 11 seasons you never hear anyone talk about it. When I think of the last true kino comedy, I think of VEEP. >>221245979I didn't mind Mr. Heckin Epic Dad cause his character was funny. My biggest problem was the plots of the gay dads got lazy. Their problems became too contrived and could have been solved easily if they just communicated better. You know, like people who have been together for that long should.
Cam was the real villain 2bh

All I know is the kid who played Luke was an absolute bully at my school growing up. Fuck you, Nolan.

Woke grabage
>>221247444He always had his entourage around and would just punch people knowing they couldn't do anything back to him. I think he lit a girl's hair on fire during church once too if I remember right. Maybe he's chill now but in middle and highschool he was a fucking menace.
