Why was it so incredibly shit?
>>
Wtf are those towers built from bones? Where do they get the cranes from to build it that tall if it's post apocalypse?
>>
It was pretty good, but it failed commercially because it made the mistake of neglecting the zombies. Boyle's film took inspiration from L4D and Attack on Titan, and introduced creepy new zombie variants. Those were nowhere to be seen in Bone Temple, which was more a cult/serial killer story.
>>
>>221245967
Easily the best movie of 2026. Thatcherites die mad.
>>
The 1st one was bad and so was this. Directed by some schwatze iirc.

They don’t give a fuck about this piece of shit place, Reddit, Instagram and Facebook is more their speed.
>>
Why did this kino trigger incels so hard?
>>
>>221246052
Half the movie is centered around Samson
>>
i loved it but it doesn't quite execute on how spike is without agency and you're just aching for him to stop just running away and DO something, it comes off as he's supporting cast in his own movie like it's a structural flaw of the film as opposed to a theme executed
excuse me as i go on a nature walk which will turn absolutely terrifying if i so much as step on the wrong stick
>>
>>221246823
>in his own movie
why do incels keep repeating this weird phrase??
>>
I liked it, but I think the reason it turned most people off is that it focused on building a living world instead of telling a story.
>>
>>221245967
It was good. The only problem was the first one was so shit, no one bothered with this one.
>>
>>221245967
>>221246548
The only reason they pretend that its bad is that the director is a black woman.
>>
>>221245967
it was okay, but it didn't really feel like it had any theme or messaging like the first one had, the first one had that fantastic scene where the kid places his mothers skull in the pile, and it has more to say about life and death, this one was just made by someone who wants to see fight scenes with zombies, which isn't bad, just different tonally
>>
All 3 sequels are very disappointing.
>>
>>221246823

he is supporting cast

I enjoyed it and the sequel. It told a story without preaching a lesson and the acting was tolerable. 8/10 in 2026 unironically.

>two 10/10 characters face off
>"NOOOO I NEED TO SEE THE CHIIIIILD"
>>
>>221246720
Yes, but the scenes of Samson and Kelson chilling are not a good substitute for the amount of infected action you expect to get.
>>
Big doubt even Cillian will save the third one
>>
>>221247225
They are far better than any 'infected action'

>>
>>221247179
>hey kid here's your mom skull
>go put it somewhere in the pile
It still baffles me that people find this scene "powerful" rather than utterly ridiculous.
>>
>>221247145

>>
>>221247348
if that's all you got from that scene you are the dumb one, not the movie, sorry to say
>>
>>221247377
Cope. The movie was shit.
You can make all the arguments about depth and the message that you want. But if a kid is presented with his mother's skull immediately after she dies, he's not going to be peacefully taking it to find some spot to locate it. Doubly so if he just tried his damndest to save her.
The scene does not logically work. It's ridiculous.
>>
>>221247373
Watching humans interact triggers you, doesn't it, chuddie?
>>
>>221246852
>>221247193
28yl and tbt both start spikes intro with him looking directly into the camera, it's his journey we're following and it's what sets things in motion with kelson even if it's just enough time for kelson to treat samson's arrow wounds to muse that he's his first infected patient and then kelson continuing to see him that way
>>221247224
note i talked about the weak part and not the strong parts, like it's electric when kelson and jimmy first meet - the subtle power play that eventually gives way to jimmy's violent threat, the way kelson almost grabs his blowdart weapon but doesn't, and it just sells how strange and frightening it'd be to meet someone new in this hell. i think of the infected as an extreme example of the other or othering and was pleased with 28yl exploring that with the island - correct (jimmys) or not (kelson) - and in tbt the tense meetings that almost always go wrong and how the most friendly new relationship is between kelson and the murderous alpha infected "samson" who is one small dart away from beheading him
>>
>>221245967
Directed by a black woman
>>
Why wouldn't the rest of the world have just decided to nuke the UK after 28 years of the rage virus and especially learning that they are evolving and getting smarter?
>>
It was decent but the Jimmys were a disappointment. A film just being about the doctor learning how to cure the infected (but being unable to do shit about it) is honestly a more interesting premise. I don't care for Spike.

And that is the sole reason it triggers you, incel.
>>
>>221247437
you're being pretty dishonest about the whole thing anon, there was a context to the scene, he had accepted her death by that point, he wasn't doing it just because he was told
>>
it actually is better than the first for me thinking back on it, but both were great
>>
>>221247437
>>221247816
Both of you don't get the scene because you're obviously not British. This is just how the NHS works. You travel for ages to see a GP, he says he can't for anything for you, then kills your mum and hands you her skull.
>>
>>221245967
This one balanced tone shifts better than the first which becomes a cringe comedy for 20 minutes out of nowhere.
>>
You're kidding right? One of the best movies of 2026 so far
>>
I didn't even watch it. the power rangers at the end of the first one were dumb. Should of went with a new story maybe referenced the kid or brought in his older version.
>>
really retarded that you can fix 28 years of rage induced brain alterations that probably left it a pile of mush by just fucking pumping him full of ketamine and waxing poetic. its even worse than how day of the dead did it because at least the zombie was still a zombie but with minor reasoning capability

>>221245967
I liked it more than 28 Years, though it would not be very good without everything that 28 Years built up.

nah Danny Boyle, Harland and Cillian Murphy are all saying its going to happen they missed the window this year to shoot in the right weather so Boyle said they will start filming next year if you want proof besides what the director the writer and the main actor has said they are maintaining the island colony set thats not normal if it wasn't happening it would've been torn donw or at least abandoned already.

>Days
Mid honestly, there's actually maybe a dozen zombie movies I'd watch again before it. The zombies just were kind of boring and shitty, there's no drama when the initial infection has both already happened and infects instantly. Best thing I can say about it was the filming technique itself was good.
>Weeks
Genuinely bad movie, Renner was a miscast and took me out of it. The opening scene was iconic and the sniper perspective was somewhat interesting but the rest of the movie was shit.
>Years
Bizarre movie but overall enjoyable and arguably better than anything before it, I enjoyed it being entirely disjointed like it was supposed to be 3 or so different movies crammed into one because it kept me guessing about where it was going. Visuals were pretty and had some interesting camera work.
>Bone
More consistent in plot than Years but also a little less interesting as a result, still mostly enjoyable. I didn't care much for the Jimmies and how much the movie dwelled on them but the opening fight was really good, main Jimmy gave a good performance. Doctor and Samson had a fun story arc and the Mr Nick and ending scenes were kino.
>>
>>221256608
I would've been nice to see the jimmies clearing a large group of infected but Boyle refusing to do that stuff and he probably made her not have a scene like that hes said many times "if a scene feels like it 'too cool' I cut it thats not what i'm going for" its just the way boyle works and he probably set down some rules like for instance "no big action scene with the jimmies" they already did that end of 28 years, Boyle hates repeats so instead in bone temple it was Samson wrecking the infected in the train car.

i refuse to believe anyone would immediately dislike a movie without seeing it because the director happens to have a dark skin tone and is a woman, how lost in the sauce are you people?
>>
>>221246052
It failed cause it came out like 14 months after a film with the same title and a lot of people were confused
>>
>>221245967
I thought it was better than 28YL.

Kelson and Samson had Gilgamesh and Enkidu energy
>>
>>221256749
it was more like 3 months 28 years came out late october and bone temple came out in late january, but yes that was the problem
>>
>>221256702
I fully agree with your assessment, some retards on this board actually think weeks is the best. Makes no sense
>>
>>221256782
weeks had a couple well done scenes, the sniper scene where he's trying to pick infected from people the scne pushing the car while on fire and the helicopter buzz saw, also the kid at the end thinking he's infected and running away trying to make sure he doesn't kill his sister, oh and the opening of course is amazing, but over all it's definitely the weakest and very very dumb
>>
>>221256749
Yeah, the big problem is that it doesn't stand on its own. Its a direct sequel that makes zero sense without seeing Years. But Years sucked. And Bone Temple's name makes it seem like some kind of directors cut of Years
>>
>>221256324
Is it set in downtown Portland circa 2026?
>>
>>221256841
