it doesnt hold up too well today to be honest

some sketches are damn near suicidally boring overstretched unfunny dogshit, most are okay with maybe 1 genuinely funny interesting sketch every episode or two. movies are far better without a doubt.

So basically

>>
>>221264256
All the sketches parodying British television in the 60s and lampooning class stereotypes are dead on a modern watch.

For what purpose though?

Name one sketch comedy show where that isn't the case.

John Cheese said Life of Brian is his greatest achievement.

who is monty python?
>>
and why is the circus flying?
>>
>>221264256
Sometimes they hit gold. But mostly it was mildly amusing to dull.

I know right. Same thing with radio comedy from that era, such as Round The Horne. Have fun trying to understand these decades-old cultural references.

>british television is overrated dogshit
Many such cases. British people love to overrate their own importance and cultural heft so they talk endlessly about unwatchable crap like dr. who and monty python

catholicism is ridiculous
and i say this as the offspring of two catholics

Now do the Judaism mocking song.
>>
>>221265125
They kinda did that in Life of Brian. They mocked all the Abrahamic religions, all at once. Because they are all equally stupid.
>>
Favorite underrated sketch? For me it's Sam Peckinpah's Salad Days
>>
>>221265125
>heh they're not mocking the thing they have no experience with? heh they must be scared checkmate atheists
why do incels think this is some ebin gotcha? they write about christianity because that was the dominant religion and what they grew up in. it's like asking someone who's never been on a roller coaster what being on a roller coaster is like.
>>
>>221265173
They couldn't mock islam because it didn't exist yet
>>
>>221264290
>the sketch making fun of jewish media execs isn't still relevant
>>
>>221265082
>ahh i see you got the machine that goes PING! that's my favorite!

>>221265192
It is a gotcha you fucking lying faggot. Look at CYM. Larry David urinates on Christ. Would he EVER do that to Mohammed, etc.? No way. Go fuck yourself.
>>
>>221264516
Life of Brian is hilarious, but his greatest achievement is Fawlty Towers.
>>
>>221264256
I think this sketch is funnier than anything in any of the movies
