This movie does the spooking alien vibe well at the start, but the ending is just too 70s psychedelic to work as a proper scary movie.

So if Greys are taking people and they're going preventing them from moving or crying out for help, then wiping their minds after, then that does explain the lack of recordings.Honestly I think the best depiction of Grey abductions in recent years has actually been from a subplot in Resident Alien. The series is a comedy and so it softens a lot of the aspects, but just those moments alone are genuinely quite disturbing.
