When did zoomoids forget how to turn the brightness up on their tv?
>>
>>221283863
Around the same time that they decided to ruin the sounds.
>>
>>221283928
how do i get to hog heaven?

Pig Jesus?
>>
>>221284004
I aleays loved the cope around this
>waaaah it was optimised for iMax you fucking chud
Weird, because all the iMax movies from 2010 work just fine on my home cinema.
>>
>>221283863
Very natural looking lips.
>>
>>221284011
gotta get max level log
also e barbs are good
>>
they do this to make you buy a better TV that has better brightness settings.

you don't need anything more than a 5 dollar CRTV from the street
>>
>>221285619
It's not going to look better on any tv
>>
>>221284004
>>221284134
I really wish movies came with a separate stereo mix and not just a surround.

if only
>>
>>221283863
When they swapped to digital they got rid of lighting and are perfectly fine having some asshole just carry the camera around.
>>
>>221284134
Well I won't watch it in imax and I won't watch it at home if you're too lazy to remaster the sound for blu ray release
>Why is no one watching movies anymore?
Gee I wonder. Digging their own graves
>>
>>221285667
You can just downmix on your amp, I do that sometimes.
>>
>>221285777
Yeah and most software (which probably just uses ffmpeg) will downmix surround to stereo but it doesn't help when a mix is garbage like in most Nolan films. IIRC, by default ffmpeg keeps the center channel at unity, drops the LFE and attenuates the 4 surrounds by -3db, but when you still can't hear the dialogue clearly, it doesn't make sense because the centre wasn't touched at all and most of the dialogue is usually in the center.

I've known friends and family who watch movies during broad daylight on little TVs in their living room where you can't see shit because of all the sunlight in the room, and it bothers the fuck out of me. At least OP's tiktok bitch knows that there's a problem. I know it sounds cringe to be like "ugh normalfags amirite" but watching movies and television like that is so ignorant and low-class. It's like the equivalent of when people order and eat delivery pizza inside of a water park.
>>
>>221283863
get a real tv, not some shitty little ips panel. same shit as when people complain they can't hear non-ads dialogue through their shitty tv speakers
>>221285751
no they stopped waiting for 4 hours for lighting changes, which makes sense because otherwise your shooting days balloon
>>
This girl isn't wrong. Watch a movie from the 90s (or before that) vs the last 15 years. Everything now is so fucking dark. I read that they keep it dark so that they can make changes in post or whatever.

Film-making in general just became really, really terrible in the last 20 years. I think the advent of increasingly cheaper digital post-editing just made everyone lazy and sloppy. It's not really the fault of the tools per se, it's the people using them no longer feel like they have to try, at anything. Even stuff that doesn't directly depend upon these tools suffers now from laziness.

Nobody can frame a shot anymore, everything has shallow soap opera / documentary style focus, nothing has visual depth anymore. It's flattened and ugly. The flat lighting doesn't help this, but they could do better with the same lighting just by learning how to fucking focus the frame properly.

Why is everything so fucking shitty, lame and gay now?
>>
>>221286387
Like everything, it's easy to blame the jews for our problems.
>>
>watch a movie that was considered mediocre in the 90s or early 2000s
>it completely mogs modern films

>her cuticles

I never have this audio problem using headphones. People are becoming retarded and unable to understand spoken language due to social isolation.
>>
>>221286583
This is especially true for horror flicks.

>movie from the mid to late 80s
>imdb score is like 4.0
>absolutely shits all over modern crap that has ratings over 7.0
a good example of this is the Howling 3. It was considered a gigantic pile of shit, people fucking hated it, but it has sio much charm and character. I'd personally rate it lkike 8/10
>>
>>221286072
They fail at the most basic lighting composition that you learn in the first 5 minutes of a photography class if you need to be told it: light goes behind the camera directed at the subject.
>>
Project Hail Mary was one of the most genuinely good-looking movies I have seen recently in terms of lighting and texture. Even if you think the movie is ultra-reddit, watch it with the sound off and your favorite album playing or something. It make me remember that movies can look great and not be dull and grey and muted.
>>
anyone saying "get a better TV" or "calibrate" are retards who got psyopped by hollywood jews into accepting media that you can't fucking see
>>
>>221284011
You gotta raise a little hell.
>>
>>221283928
It was essential to the plot of her tiktok to start in -pre-breeding pose and then move to center her moose-knuckle.
Misogynists don't understand art.
>>
>>221286795
>light goes behind the camera directed at the subject.
completely fucking wrong lmao, because you also need a guy operating the boom mic and a way for him to not cast shadows. also lmao at lighting a scene with ONE fucking light like it's a school picture day and having no shadows

Don't care, I can watch movie from 80 years ago and heard everything without looking on "how to set up a sound system"

I just blame streaming
For everything
Even animals and spiders

>use manipulative tactics to give the illusion of depth instead of outright exploring complex and meaningful ideas
this is why film is for pseuds, they are make feel good "art" for retards to think they are above the rabble. written philosophy is where it's at.
>>
>>221288321
>your getting at
>>
>>221283863
>the foid is... right?
>>
>>221283863
No, they started using actual lighting. More specifically they started shooting in actual dark rather than just putting a blue shade over the lights
>>
>>221286875
>watch it with the sound off and your favorite album playing or something.
DUDE WEED LMAO
>>
>>221286795
Key and Accent used to be ubiquitous, it was just common sense standard practice. Now you're lucky if you get some reflected magic cloth white light from 20 feet above
>>
>>221288727
It's actually the opposite and the blue shade is digital not physical.
>>
>>221283973
I have it how I want it, I aint messing with it anymore. Its the show that is wrong
>>
>>221288732
Why do you care so much
>>
>4:3 video which means whatever she is watching is not new
>cheap and garbage lcd screen with poor brightness, clouding, and reflective screen
