>Hollywood claims that making faithful film adaptations of other works is impossible because they need to make a bunch of changes to fit the medium of film
>Anime frequently does exact adaptations of works, often panel-for-panel in the case of adaptations of manga
Why is this? How are the Japanese able to make faithful and often literal adaptations of other works when Hollywood says its impossible?
>>
Because evil cannot create anything new, they can only corrupt and ruin what good forces have invented or made

This. Similar to how Chinese build but Jews only destroy. Real life is literally built around the same dichotomies you think only exist in fables or mythology.

The whole secret to the success of the Chinese economy is that their built their economy on such a bases that investors and finance never make any important decisions ever. And they have only ever experienced growth and completely avoided massive economic crashes that would have devastated practically any other nation and shrugged off global economic catastrophes.

Manga are not real books. Reading comics doesn't make you literate.

Okay, but what does that have to do with adaptations?

tv vs film

also, faithful anime adaptations aren't good at all. they suffer from bad pacing and animation

the less faithful adaptations are far more impressive because art direction, pacing and writing are more cohesive. I prefer the Stardust Crusader OVA over the TV show because it added a horror aspect to it.

What!
Chinese economic success is simply based off of manpower of the people. Manufacturing.
They just create shit constantly.
The whole "made in china" meme that has been in the western term of phrase since the 80s is real. Shit is made in chine. They have massive amount of people and resources and just make shit.
You look at anything like tech and you will find that shit in it, or it itself is made in china.

people make shit
businesses get more contracts to make shit
more people get jobs and make more shit
people get more wages
people buy shit
economy booms
?????
profit

If it was just massive amounts of manpower, India would be roughly as strong as China. In fact, India should be stronger if that's the only factor. Colonial exploitation aside, the British still left India with a stronger economic base than what the Chinese had in the 20th century. People forget this, but for most of the 20th century China was easily one of the poorest countries in the world, poorer than most African nations.

No, not really.

What's more, the changes Hollywood makes often fucks with the pacing. In film adaptations of both the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, they add in romance scenes that causes the pacing to come to a screeching halt.

The CCP did an initiative and injected manufacturing into their economy over farming. afaik before that farming was their main export/trade. Now it is manufacturing and has been for some time, like 4-5 decades and over time has just bumped their economy to mega levels.

Because hollywood is full of cowards, communist gen z writers trying to push The Message, and they're all full of shit.
The highest grossing videogame movies of all time all stood by the source material 100%, or super close to it, and either made a fucking gorillion zillion dollars, or at least double/triple their budget.
A lot of directors seem blind to this for some reason, and continually want to shove in thier own bullshit or do things 'their way', proudly proclaiming they know nothing about the game they're making the movie on.
