Imagine being Stockton’s wife and kids. It’s the one year anniversary of your dad dying in a horrible tragedy, your still trying to piece your life back together, you turn on the tv and see James Cameron is STILL going on about how your dad was a retard who deserved to die
>>
>>221293325
Well their dad did murder 3 other people through negligence so fuckem
>>
>>221293325
I hope his wife and kids kill themselves out of shame.
>>
>>221293347
if someone gets into a death trap like that willingly i assume it's how they would have wanted to go or at least they were at peace with the possiblity
>>
do white people really not season their subs?
>>
>>221293382
You can call it a deathtrap with hindsight but those people were assured of their safety from someone who knew they were pushing the odds
>>
>>221293402
A good sub only needs salt pepper oregano. Sometimes a little tobasco
>>
>>221293403
there's no way they didn't realize the danger unless they were flat out retarded. automatic deference for other people when your life is involved is always a mistake and is an evolutionary dead end

>>
>>221293435
So they deserved to die over a perceived risk? So people who get in planes and car accidents should deserve to die even more by your logic
>>
>>221293325
But their Dad WAS a retard who deserved to die. Watch any interview with him. Dude was a narcissist and played Russian roulette with the deep sea. The deep sea won. Unfortunately it wasn’t just him.
>>
>>221293382
The son went begrudgingly, he was pressured by his parents
>>
>>221293999
Oh he was pressured alright
>>
>>221294028
Imagine the smell of having to spend your last moments on earth stuck in a bathtub with two fat smelly poojeets

You guys wanna hear the implosion sound?

It was recorded

Not exactly but they are unnecessary risks. This is going to sound stupid to you but this is 100% truthful. COVID era convinced me of the incompetence of all authority and experts. I stopped trusting almost everything. I let my license expire and I ride in cars less than 10 times a year for the past several years. I walk everywhere now. I refuse to set foot on a plane for any reason since I realized the incompetence is universal even in mission critical roles. I also stopped going to the doctor for this reason. I do not trust anybody.
>>
>>221293403
They literally signed "you may go squish in the fathomless darkness but that's ok" waivers before boarding
>>
>>221293999
Natural selection at work
>>
>>221294049
I would want death too. I understand why he did it
>>
>>221294218
factor in scale. tens of thousands of planes fly every day with no issues. millions of people drive cars every day without incident. thousands upon thousands of successful diagnoses, treatments and surgeries performed by competent medical professionals every single day. practices and procedures that go back decades, centuries in some cases. risk cant be eliminated completely but there are ample ways to mitigate it
>>
>>221294300
Don't bother anon, it's a psychosis.
>>
>>221294205
Thats pretty cool
>>
>>221293727
>Unfortunately it wasn’t just him
How can you claim you care about his crew's lives and say he deserved to die
>>
>>221293347
Boo hoo, fuck em. I hope more amateur submarines get made and kill more people.

This story was astroturfed because private businesses were making things cheaper and it was making the professionals look bad. They have to point to necessary and completely acceptable sacrifices and rather than learn a lesson, throw everything out. Fuck that. I want to round up the children of everyone who reported on this story and force them to travel by private sub. Those that die, die. Worth it. Same with space, same with anything. We wouldn't have fucking commercial air travel if out ancestors had this browncoded attitude.
>>
>>221294349
It's an awakening of the inner mind.
>>
>>221294684
tell me about how we have commercial air travel thanks to some retard that refused to use existing, highly safe planes and made them cheaper ones by ignoring all safety standards
>>
>>221294218
>covid changed me
i'm sorry to break it to you but it doesn't work like that bud. Barely anyone gets shaped by a single event to such an extent. You're just prone to making schizo choices in your life and covid is your concious rationale but in reality you're paranoid to the point you're willing to make your life harder in order to preserve it for no real purpose. You could die any day anyway even if you don't leave your house.
>>
>>221293325
I remember Cameron mostly slamming the Coast Guard for prolonging the families' suffering by making them think their loved ones could still be alive for 3 days when everyone knew they had died instantly

> This could never happen to me. Look at me. Do i look like i would go into a deep dive with two pajeets into a carbon fiber crap sub?
> They paid 500k each to be turned into a fucking pile of crab excrement.
> I hope Stockton is in hell right now aware that the whole world will consider him a miserable idiot for eternity.
What does James Cameron mean?
>>
>>221295015
why does he have to even get out there and share his opinion on such subject?

>marrying Stockton in the first place
>being related to that retard
They're already too far gone for me to have any sympathy.
>>
>>221293325
Didn’t his son make a song about how stupid his dad is and published it under the band name “Sink-182”?
>>
why did CNN choose the most grim, confrontational and authoritarian frame for Jim
>>
>>221295385
LIKE DOGS
>>
>when I found out that Stockton got himself killed and heard that satisfying pop noise, I popped open a bottle of champagne to celebrate. I won again, so I felt it was appropriate.
you didn't have to say that, Cameron
>>
Why carbon fiber? Why not anything else, I dunno, like a hollowed out granite block or something?
>>
>>221294684
you do realize that people can just do calculations to understand if materials hold up in the depths instead of building a rinky-dink tube and convincing idiots to try it out?

the engineering "innovation" in this case was retarded levels of greed
>>
>>221295676
You do also realize that it DID hold up in the depths and went down many times successfully? Oh, no you didn't realize that? Aww, poor baby with egg on your face. Couldn't be asked to read the story and actually understand before vomiting out your stupid opinion. How embarassing for you.
>>

the sub was perfectly seasoned

For those of us with lives that don't follow e drama what are you talking about OP?
>>
>>221294869
yer a looney
>>
>>221293611
If you do something that has a high likelihood of killing you and that is 100% unnecessary, it's definitely on you if you die, and there's little reason to feel for you. Unless you're a stupid teenager, then your death is more tragic because young people have to learn about sensible risk-taking and doing dumb shit is part of that. But as a grown man, it's on you.
In fact, you're kind of a huge asshole if you do that while having a family to take care of.
>>
>>221295149
He gave expert testimony on account of having done what Stockton tried to do but without dying and dozens of times
>>
>>221296401
>dumb rich guy builds submarine that's not up to standards
>offers other rich idiots a ride to the wreck of the Titanic for money
>the sub is crushed, killing all idiots aboard
>James Cameron is interviewed and gets memed
>>
>>221294148
They all were at least lucky they didn't feel a thing.
