When does it go from A. Glory years to just watchableB. Watchable to unwatchableThese are two different things, plenty of shows leave their golden days but still churn out occasional good episodes, before finally whole seasons become skippable, usually due to writing staff stagnation

>>221294785for me, the end of season 7 is where i step off. season 8 is where they introduce digital animation and the show loses a lot of charm. the end of season 7 is also where they have to start making characters retarded to flesh out stories (the racist dog episode where Hank can't fix a residential water heater). perfect stopping point
The HD seasons and the introduction of Lucky. There's a couple good ones after that but it loses a lot of charm
>>221294785It's unwatchable from the start unless you're a liberal multiculturalist.

>>221294983I still enjoy the show even when they do gay shit like this desu. What really bothered me is when Hank was crying and unable to fix his Ford Ranger... Boomhauer builds race cars they would just swap a new engine into Hank's truck and then overbuild it and give it 3x the stock horsepower.
>>221295419Also Luanne was supposed to be a skilled mechanic for like 10 minutes and Hank himself would be skilled enough to replace his own engine. Also the episode where Hank is too stupid to know how to buy a car bothers me. He's the kind of guy who buys used trucks from private sellers and inspects them like an autistic master builder.
>>221295457Why did they ruin his character? Hard mode: don't mention female writers
>>221295220Ho ya was one of the best episodes.
>>221294785When the animation changes for the third time is when it gets just watchable but it never get zombie Simpsons tier of bad.
>>221295502to blackpill you specifically, anon
first 7 seasons KotH are classiceverything after that can be skipped and probably should never have been made
>>221294785Just stop at the reboot.
>>221294785Like everyone else said it’s not the same show after Season 7 but what comes after passes for the continued adventures of KotH well enough. It tests me with Lost in MySpace and the Propaniacs, though. Peggy pissed me off as usual in her realtor arc especially in that episode where she nearly sells the house from under them - between the idea that they’d be so “locked in” to the sell and that there’s a rogue celebrity inspector who publishes his clients’ house reviews in the paper. But I can’t deny that turning her into a realtor was a perfect theoretical answer to what to do with Peggy’s character besides kill her in a skydiving accident
>>221294785It never gets straight up bad, the quality noticeably decreases during the HD seasons but it's still good
I'm pretty much at the end of the original run now, and I would say it has at most declined from a 10/10 show to a 8/10.I also like Lucky, and I don't get why everyone hates him. He's a funny character, and he gives Luanne something to bounce off in the later years, where it felt like her storylines had kind of dried up.I think it's just Reddit being Reddit and seething about a genuine redneck character, because they're all classists who are afraid of poor people.
>>221294785Peak is S2-6S1 is its own vibe.Alright but still watchable is S7-9 maybe 10Rest of the original run sucks but aren't quite Zombie Simpsons tier.Hulu reboot sucks although is probably about on par with a "good" Zombie Simpsons 'sode.
i actually think they maybe pulled it back a little in the late seasons. The peak of Peggy and Dale being cartoonishly stupid was somewhere in the middle of the show.

>>221296055That whole scheme to escape Rusty Shackleford and the MLM scheme lady was hilarious, a lot of the show’s best moments come from when they let two characters who barely interact otherwise hang out alone for a C plot
>>221295457This was late 90s. You couldnt just hop on your smart phone and browse marketplace for an engine. And if Hank were to engine swap, he's the type to put in the exact same engine that it's supposed to have

>>221296055dale was unbelievably ripe for flanderization. it was inevitable unfortunately
>>221296379Peak Dale being crazy and stupid was probably the episode where he digs a tunnel under the street though. that's actually fairly early on. Only Season 7.
There's some later era bangers. "Dusty old bones" is from pretty late in the show. The episode where Cotton dies is surprisingly good and funny for an episode where they kill of a long running fan favorite character, which is always risky ground. The Clown College episode is pretty late.
