So was the Witch real? Why was there a spooky ass cabin in the middle of the woods with bloody handprints on the walls
>>
the real witch was the friends we made along the way
>>
>>221297299
there's no such thing as a witch.
>>
>>221297299
The witch conjured up the old man and the children he killed
>>
WHAHWASTHAT
OHMYGODWAHWASTHAT
>>
>>221297347
they all got drunk in a hotel room the night before they went to the woods. I wonder what happened
>>
>>221297299
The witch was real in their minds and in the end that's what made all the difference.
>>
>>221297299
she has that Greta Thunberg syndrome where I want to rape her with a cattle prod
>>
>>221297458
you just know the bitch tried to make out with some poor guy, and it was really sloppy too
>>
>>221297299
No.
The two guys were shooting a snuff film. The girl didn't realize that she was the subject.
The bloody handprints were from the guys previous murders
>>
>>221297599
This desu

>Why was there a spooky ass cabin in the middle of the woods with bloody handprints on the walls
spend literally 1 day watching midwest safety/ewu police bodycams and you will see worse, every suburb has parents chaining up kids and feeding them once a week, cracked out pimps with 17 year old white whores with no schooling after 5th grade... abandoned house in the woods where a crime happened 100 years ago doesn't even move the needle
>>
>>221297458
can you imagine how much more group cohesion there would have been if Heather just emptied their heavy camping balls once in a while

I get really irritated when characters in such movies act so irrational. I get that tiredness, hunger and whatnot psychological effects will impair your judgement but come on. Try to come up with solutions using logic!

How about following the creek for a while. Surely that will get you to some human settlement. Why is this not even a suggestion? I want characters who can logically, even scientifically analyze the situation they are in. Very little of this was in the Cube but what else?

If I was one of the characters I would try to bend the mechanics in the same situation (of course if I could keep my composure), start a fire for example, burn down the forest.
>>
>>221297299
Yes the witch was real. The group got cursed by her when they slept over night in the woods. No matter how hard they tried they couldnt get out.
>>
>>221298356
>of course if I could keep my composure
well that seems to be the question. people can go crazy when they get lost.
>>221297599
so the guy facing the wall at the end is faking?
>>
>>221297299
Yes obviously the witch was real it’s why they couldn’t get out
>>
>>221298356
They weren't lost, they were trapped by the Witch. They could have followed a creek for ages only to end up in the same place. It's why they become so increasingly confused and paranoid and act illogically, their primal instincts know the space is wrong.

The original Dawn of the Dead is one of the few horror movies where I felt the characters acted pretty intelligently most of the time.
>>
>>221298356
Did you watch the movie? They did try logical things and mention they keep ending up where they started. The witch is using magic to fuck with their heads
>>
>>221298356
The movie was over an hour longer in the original cut so its possible they tried that already, but the theater cut removed a ton of shit

Pretty funny that the witch likes to spook campers by messing with their campsite at night before killing them
>>
>>221297299
What a shitty movie. The chick that went to go see it with me thought it was 100% actual found footage.
>>

1999 was 27yrs ago.

This is why this film is so interesting. There is almost nothing strictly paranormal. Only the children. The kids playing in the middle of the dark at night in the forest.
Other than that it could have been anything. But there is something paranormal.
Also the cabin should not be there. It was said in the beginning it was destroyed.
>>
>>221297347
Better ending than One Piece's
>>
>>221298976
Interesting.
>>
>>221298976
Imagine my shock.
>In a wide-ranging interview with Variety, Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams say they’ve missed out on profits from the original movie, which raked in a reported $248 million at the box office worldwide. Given the film’s then-unique faux documentary conceit, none of the three actors were able to benefit from its unexpected success, and are now seeking residuals and “meaningful consultation” on future projects that use their names and likenesses.
>>
>>221297299
Serious question. What does Heather Donahue do all day and week? Does she wake up next to Blair Witch plaques and shit? Or does she forbid any of that be around her? Her (ex?)husband is a mega fan of the movie. How many times has she cried in the shower related to starring in Blair Witch? I would like a shot on VHS docu series that is mainly her in robe, towelhead, smoking cigarette at formica kitchen table, grocery shopping, trying to see movie by herself. cozy
>>
>>221297458
she looks like butt-head yikes

You need to stop asking these questions op. You will if you know what's good for you.
>>
>>221299431
>She retired from acting in 2008 and became a medical marijuana grower.

Genius level post
>>
>>221299346
Yeah, it's a shitty thing to do, but these "actors" could have been literally anyone. If it wasn't for this movie they would be unknown. They got hired to do a thing and they did the thing and it became more successful than anyone could've imagined. Mostly due to the marketing, not the acting.
>>
>>221299346
Take note zoomies. 248 million back then is 500+ million today. Yes it made more than Obsession. Obsession has made 330 million.
>>
>>221299593
The marketing for B.W was wild. I remember going into the movie thinking it was real footage.
>>
>>221297299
Having watched The Witch, I assume that the Blair Witch was the female protagonist
>>
>>221299346
>"I'm sure they're going to take care of me, and even if they don't, I don't care. Because you know what? I'm going to be on Jay Leno in two weeks!" - on the amount he was paid ($1,000) by the producers of the $60,000 "The Blair Witch Project" (which has so far made $80 million), to The New York Times August 1999.

there was no witch, it was the spirit of the old man fucking with them
the witch is just a red herring
>>
>>221299680
Fucking OUCH.
>>
>>221299346
she recently declined a role in the reboot coming out
she honestly couldn't give a fuck anymore, shes based
>>
>>221298499
Most of the time. Until Roger goes apeshit(lol Wooly at the beginning of the film)and gets wounded.
>>
>>221299593
Untrue. They had a certain je ne sais quoi. Rarely acknowledged but their looks and attitude bottled a 90s aesthetic that is adjacent to indie rock and peak yearbooks. Anons oft argue they were interchangable literalwhos, but to argue that requires counter examples comparable to tBWP's longevity and a mysterious cultural attraction. The entire movie possesses the x factor.
The actors also personify a white pre-9/11 pre-Facebook America, an innocence that was valuably captured by the movie. Imagine there was no Zuckerberg.
>>
>>221297458
Why the long face?
>>
>>221297299
It should have been called The Five Head Project.
>>
>>221299640
I actually did see it. No one at my school thought it was real lmao. You could look it up online and every chatroom was saying it was fake. Some cheerleaders pretended it was real while taking their seats but halfway in, people were laughing at fake snoring noises. The next day or Monday morning our courtyard was filled with people laughing at his stupid it was, it was seen as a huge ripoff so much that this became the reason kids got high and saw it ironically to see how long they could tolerate the boredom

The "everyone thought it was real" revisionism is the modern Orson Welles War of the Worlds radio play "hysteria" apocryphal nonsense
>>
>>221299526
god her gray hair made me legit sad
day ruined
>>
>>221299952
Even when you know it's fake it has a creepy atmosphere and it's well executed, but if you're watching it with assholes making snoring noises it's not going to work obviously.
>>
>>221297299
She is worse than the witch

>>
>>221297299
It's a little ambiguous in the movie, but the companion documentary says that the house the serial killer brought those kids to was burned down long before the blair witch protags get there, so unless someone made a perfect replica it was supernatural.
>>
>>221298356
Don't even need to be that smart, they had a map, compass and visible sun. For example, the girl could just admit she was lost instead of making everyone walk in circles and the guy could just not throw the map away
>>
>>221297299
I wanna smack her forehead with my dick repeatedly.
>>
>>221299784
All he had to do was close the fucking door, and he would have been fine.

Flyboy Steve taking shots at the bikers too. All they had to do was lie low and wait for the bikers to leave, and most of the dead probably would have followed them back out.
