Jim's supposed "career" as a theme park ride designer was one of the most utter horseshit things in this entire show. Jim was the normiest normie that ever did normie basic bitch flatline of a human being. People who design roller coasters are kinda free spirits and appreciate the whimsy and fun in life and are creative types, even if they are expert engineers and might come cross as kind of wacky or nerdy. Despite being hot the character is stupid as fuck. They basically gave him/her unlimited power to manipulate without consequence. He can control what people see, hear, feel, he can raise the dead, has superhuman strength, razor sharp claws, and apparently is immortal. They are constantly inventing new abilities to give him too just to further the plot. What's to stop him from just putting the entire town into a fever dream or making everyone see each other as bloodthirsty zombies? He could literally just walk up to Victor and rip his throat out when no one is looking because apparently another one of his powers is he knows what everyone is doing at any given time (your wife shouldn't be digging that hole Jim). There is zero resistance to what he can do. He's like a kid in a playground full of fucking morons that can do nothing but bend to his will. There's zero tension. The only way he can possibly fail at this point in the show is just by choosing not to do what he is capable of doing because "reasons."

He wasn't. It was his idea, but ultimately Jim and Tian-Chen who got it working. Jim fixed the radio, made the plan and built the tower and TC who got the idea of just using the power from the town.

On this matter, I'll agree they nerfed Jade...along with everyone else. There is no way in hell Donna or the older characters never thought of a bulb-socket converter.

Henry's vision's in the hospital are my favorite scenes It's just refreshing to finally go away from Fromville a little bit Lost had the right idea with the flashbacks

Two things. Like MIY said, he loves playing games, and is playing several right now. To him, it's just a game to see if he can push a father to kill his own son.
Then there's the other aspect, where characters have theorized that Fromville feeds on their suffering, nightmares, and hopelessness. I think everyone there would feel some level of despair if they witnessed a father murder his own son thinking that it wasn't real and he'd get to go back to the real world.

My best guess is that since her time travel is called story walking, you have to think of it in terms of a story. Specifically how the story is told
