star of the show, stole every scene, 10/10
>>221308274I sat in the front row, her ass was RIGHT in my face the entire time, was heaven desu.
If funny how much they had to overdress Galitzine to hide how ripped he got for the role.
>>221308274>Teela is an illegal immigrant nowHard pass
>>221309285Only non-whites are illegals, even if they born in USA. Camila Mendes is white passing. If you didn't know she born in Brazil, you'd think she's Mediterranean
>>221308274not big enough
>>221309318>Camila Mendes is white passingbeunos dias senorrr>>221309349would've been a better casting decision instead of the mexican we actually got
>>221309396Let's be honest. Do you seriosly believe an ICE agent would capture Camila Mendes? They'd only stop her to ask for an autograph
>>221309446>Mendestotally. they would bounce her big beaner booty back over the border
For me? It was Idris Elba, unironically. Honorable mention goes to Dian. The principal cast was great, but really the Heroic Warriors were what really brought it all together. If they had been mediocre and forgettable, similar to Thor's scooby doo gang, the movie would've suffered greatly.
>>221308274They should have gotten the niggas who wrote that D&D movie from a few years ago. I feel this movie was going for a similar tone, but the dialogue wasn't as snappy. Making Adam a cringe millennial redditor was unironically hilarious though.
>>221309537I actually thought Idris Elba was the worst part of it. The rest of them, I agree. Especially Fisto. But Idris Elba just played Idris Elba like he always does.
>>221308274Sorry, posted wrong pic
>>221309810>Idris Elba just played Idris ElbaI can't name another role he's done where he's equal parts comedic relief and a mentor figure, so I'm not really sure what you mean. He's a completely different character in 28 Weeks Later. Completely different in American Gangster. Completely different in Thor. Completely different in Mandela. Completely different in Beasts of No Nation. Completely different in Luther.Kinda feels like equating Michael Caine to just always being Michael Caine when all you've seen is The Dark Knight trilogy and Jaws 4.Closest performance I'd compare it to is The Suicide Squad, which is a bit ironic considering both characters are arms masters.
>>221309907Whatever you say, Idris.
>>221308274Thats a face that just screams groomed as fuck through early life, sad shit.
>>221308274>star of the show, stole every scene, 10/10I dont know what you people are smoking, this movie was woke trash, and pure corporate slop on top of that. Not even written or filmed well either.
>>221308274SNIIIIFFF
>>221309907He's the same character he was in Fast and Furious whichever number he was in. Same character in Dark Tower. Same character in Thor. Same character in The suicide squad. Same character in Pacific Rim. It's not even jaded veteran who's lost hope blah blah blah, it's just Idris Elba now. I didn't see him as Duncan at all, I just saw that time Idris Elba got drunk and partied with he-man for a while.
>>221309349what is it with fat ass redheaded actresses
>>221309810Not that anon but I thought Idris Elba was surprisingly great in this and if he played this sort of role in a much more serious movie he would get rave reviews.
>>221309963it's just the same guy who has a boner for Latinx Teela
>>221310012He did. It's called Dark Tower. And it was actually pretty good. I've seen it twice. I just could not see him as anything other than Idris Elba.
>>221310012Beasts of no nation is the best movie Netflix has ever made by a big margin. Idris mouthfucks a 9yrold boy.
>>221309924Krk
>>221310087>Dark TowerBy more serious movie I meant something like one of those indie movies about black families in the 60s or some shit like that.
And y'know for a guy who craps on about how casting should be colourblind as much as he does, he sure does seem to show up as the token black guy playing a racebent cannon-white character a lot.
>>221309887I like Munra
>>221310004That's where redheads store their crazy t.ginger addict
>>221310190How has that got anything to do with Idris Elba playing Idris Elba in He-man. Yeah he can do other stuff, so why the fuck doesn't he? There have to be a hundred actors who could have played Duncan and who I actually would have seen as Duncan. You don't even need an expensive guy for that, you could have just picked someone from a cop show or something. Hollywood cannot be running out of late middle aged white dudes who can grow mustaches. And I liked He-Man, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I did not expect to. But I was watching around Idris Elba the whole time.
>>221309537Agreed, I felt that there was no miscast in this movie. I personally really liked Evil-Lyn.
>>221309206Because hes human, an earthling, unlike the other "barbaric" heroes that only resort to brute strength, so he doesn't have to be just conan. Like the reason he gets his cars gear shift wrong at the beginning also circles back later in the movie and gets played for comedy. The entire movie is like a tight ball of connected yarn that is very fun to bat around but of course it went over hollywoods reviewers heads.
>>221310264Oh, for sure. I wouldn't have even thought of casting Idris Elba either. I didn't even understand how he was meant to be Camilla Mendez's dad when they don't look anything alike. I was just surprised he delivered such a good performance in a movie like this when he could have easily phoned it in, like he has done a few times.
>>221309963This narrative gets funnier when you watch the movie and its closer to spy kids, right down to rescuing their parents. Somehow, spy kids peak returned. But no hollywood journalism brings it up because its all fucking botted now.
>>221310436Yeah no, I like the character, it's just in the OPs pic he's wearing like a 6xl shirt that's basically a mid length dress on him to hide the fact he's actually swole af even when he's just Adam. >>221310455I agree on the first part, but on the second part I just don't understand how you can see it that way. That wasn't Idris Elba playing Duncan, that was Idris Elba playing Idris Elba and they've just written Idris Elba into the script instead of Duncan. Which is presumably exactly what happened, at some point the mandate from corpo has come down and said "you've got to put Idris Elba in this" so they've just written a character for Idris Elba that is basically a rip off of all the other action/sci fi characters Idris Elba has played and called it Duncan.
>>221309537He gets memed on a lot here because they always fucking use him for race swaps, but he's genuinely one of the best actors active right now. He's zoomers' Denzel Washington.
>>221309472>Camila>Big bootyNigga where?
>>221310568Honestly I never watched He-Man so I have no idea what Duncan should be like. But I don't think Idris Elba just acts like himself here. He usually plays a cool aloof guy, but here he's very warm and there's a tenderness to him I hadn't seen before. It's a very empathetic character and that's not easy to pull off.
>>221308274Am I fucked in the head or Evil-Lyn was meant to look horny whenever Skeletor burned her with his grab?
>>221310672Watch Dark Tower, another debatable casting choice. Idris Elba's character in this is the Gunslinger right down to the reluctant mentorship with the kid. Cannonically Teela is the daughter of Duncan and the Sorceress but the Sorceress bewitched Duncan into forgetting their relationship, sp Duncan thinks Teela is a foundling even tho she's actually his biological daughter. And the reasoning behind why the Sorceress chose Duncan is because he was a wise and good man. That's the sort of thing that impresses the Sorceress which was shown in MotU. So Duncan isn't supposed to be a reluctant mentor with trauma, he's supposed to be the greatest mentor in the universe. And he's like the old guy of the group.
>>221310701Oooh yeah. That's cannon. She's skeletor's BDSM sub. That's their relationship.
>>221310641
>>2213107011000% she was super into it, kinky evil SM
>>221311162>>221311238I do wish that Hollywood would finally give up all the bullshit about "respecting women" and go back to having costumes that show off women's asses as much as they do in their own social media pages.
