Kino of the highest order

Mid movie carried hard by the soundtrack.

Heavy handed film masquerading as high art. This is where the cracks in aronovsky’s veneer started to show. The music was good.
The film isn’t bad, but it gets kind of schmaltzy.

It's not awful but Aronovsky is a hack.

A fountain? Here? In the middle of the city?

It's just a great movie. Visually rewarding, engrossing story, calm but violent, doesn't ask too much of the viewer other than enjoy the straight forward story and visuals.

Love it a lot

A story about loss and grief and a really elaborate form of suicide, all wrapped in an unnecessary imagery spanning multiple time periods when the entire thing could have been a 10 minute short film instead

Aronovsky really beats you over the fucking head with the religious aspects of the film. It already wasn’t subtle, but by the end it got to be a bit eye rolling.

Just finished it, it was okay. I welcome a philosophical movie but I can't stand the muh dead wife shit and this was one of them.

Pretentious slop anchored by Ferret Man™ deluding himself into thinking he's a serious actor.
