I'm not understanding how or why the backrooms creates these monsters. It doesn't make sense, but it's refreshing to watch a movie shrouded in mystery that doesn't have everything plainly explained to you.
>>221323489It copies rooms/furniture and it also copies people Are you retarded
>>221323529Okay. How and why?
>>221323529Yes. OP is notoriously retarded and probably faggot
The real genius behind that movie is a random 4chan user. It really illustrates why you shouldn't share your ideas.
>>221323560Don’t post your cursed /x/ images on other boards! It’s a containment board for a reason
>>221323585>It really illustrates why you shouldn't share your ideas. So they can just exist in your head and follow you into the void after you die?
>>221323560>this makes zoomers piss and shit themselves
>>221323585Maybe he should’ve made the movie then.
>>221323641Yeah, I'm having a panic attack just looking at it
>the scariest monster they could make is a goofy looking nigger
>>221323625>>221323671He should have tried to make more of it, but since he couldn't it would be best to keep it to himself. He must feel awful knowing that a random retarded youtuber gets all the praise while he stills posts here.
>>221323717I'm sure he's happy that his little creepypasta post got turned into a full blown movie.
>>221323791This lol>save pic of old hobby lobby>make jokepost about noclip physics irl>bunch of people latch onto it>they even make a movie about itPretty good funpost success story IF YOU ASK ME
>>221323791everyone but him made money, so no
>>221323489Maybe a prequel trilogy to explain how/why down to the last detail? Anyone?
>>221323489It's like Solaris, wheretheres an alien planet that creates people from you dreams, but the problem is that if you take people/things 1:1 from your dream and put them into the real world it doesnt translate very well, so the creations were all fucked up. It's explained that the backrooms are an alternate reality that scans you like an mri and creates things from the scan of your mind. And like Solaris these creations are all wrong, from a distance it looks real but up close the details are all very wrong. CaptainClark was pulled from Clark's brain, it IS Clark, or rather the backrooms version of Clark. When asked who that monster is, Clark responds "its me."
>>221323585>"What if I made a creepypasta about the maze screensaver from Windows '98?"Genius.
>>221323923thank you chatgpt
>>221323819Dude there's no gonna be any fucking potable water in 20 yearsRegardless of WHO has money, I doubt ANYBODY is spending it right. I'm not saying other profit off your ideas is fine. I'm just saying, there's far more important shit to worry about.
>>221323585So uh, are the backroom under copyright now ? Like if a random guy want to make a movie, a24 could strike him ?
>>221323791He is the Pete Best of memes. Pete Best is the original drummer for the Beatles who was replaced by Ringo Starr just before they hit it big, for all the zoomers out there.
>>221323690Where is the lie?
>>221323971>Dude there's no gonna be any fucking potable water in 20 yearsIn the 70s, they were saying we were a decade away from a new ice age, in the 80s, acid rain was going to kill us all, in the 90s, the hole in the ozone layer was going to kill us all, and if that didn't do it, civilization was going to collapse in Y2K. You'll be fine.
>>221323964It's not a new concept, like I said Solaris already did this. It was also explained by scientist man at the end, you didn't pay attention? the company he works for used to make mris, now they explore the backrooms to try and make sense of it.
>>221323489They need a sequel where the military goes in all guns blazing, like Aliens or Stargate.
>>221323489I will wait for the porn parody "The Blackrooms"
>>221323791The kind of man you're describing would not even know about this site, much less post in it
>>221324433The backrooms would just make copies of the military guys that would not feel pain and would shoot back, it would be insane to try
>>221323489This monster was actually pretty spooky when you only see it in darkness or from a distance but when you do get a clear look at it it's pretty doofy looking.
It will never be not funny that we have an entire generation of people that are scared of empty well lit rooms.
>>221323599How long before they make a movie based on this?
>>221323489>this is your movie's big bad monsterlmao. zoomers, are you okay?
>>221324501hes really spooky
>>221324645one motherfucker did this at the fair in town. He leaned back too far and rippen through that canvas ceiling above him. I guess it fling him about a block away before he landed in somebody's yard. They still use the same machine, but there's a huge duct tapped patch over one of those triangles in the ceiling.
>>221324433>It's another "zoomer completely misses the point" episode
>>221326290lolno
>>221326301Zoomers are just obsessed with army guys shooting things. It's like they're brainwashed in preparation for WW3
>>221323625Indeed
>>221326301>>221326694Low test posts
>>221326756How so?
>>221326290Did he died?
>>221324645rippen
>>221323819he created something that may very well still remain long after he's dust in the wind. Fuck the money, he created a legacy.
>>221323625Yes, unironically. Either I eventually make something out of it and make money from it or at the very least I can be at peace knowing no one else will be able to steal it from me and ruin it while making money off of it.
>>221327772You sound like a bit of a whiny white bitch
>>221328077Thanks, whore.
>>221327772>I'll never amount to anything nor have any legacy, but it's okay because I never tested any of the ideas that I gaslighted myself into thinking were brilliantWhatever you say, hoss.
>>221328228Do you think the anon who actually shared his idea will amount to anything and have any legacy, or will he just sit in the cuck chair while the youngest director to ever exist gets to bask in the success that could've been his? Either I get to do something with my own creations, or they die with me. I'm fine with that.
>>221328140Do you want me to be your whore?because I can be if that's what you really want from me.
>>221323489>The spongebob pirate..but evil! So, is it like when freaks overanalyze or sexualize stuff from their childhood?
>>221324501>>221325860>>221329246His design is great in context because he's the embodiment of Clark's life going to shit, crystalized into the moment he did a terrible campy local TV ad to try to save his failing business, and put full effort into it in spite of thinking from the outset that it was stupid and humiliating
>>221323489I was dissappointed when he didn't transform into a black shadowy thing, could've been cool to have a "base form" of the entity that took on people's fears.
>>221323585This just means that the posts here are gonna get more boring now.
Was clark plapping this mimic when he wasn't out trying to survive? He obviously wasn't keeping her around for food
>>221329336imagine getting chased around by a nine foot tall version of yourself that day you asked that girl to prom haha
>>221323489I like it overall but I thought it was a missed opportunity to focus on the panic and despair that settles in when a person finds themself there and realizes that it's endless. In the movie, it seems like no one really has that much of a problem finding their way in and out of the place. It should have emphasized how easy it is to get lost in there. I also didn't really like how he enters the backrooms by putting his hands through the wall. That would have startled a normal person immediately. I'd have preferred it if the way he entered the backrooms were more subtle than that.
>>221329402The "noclip" thing goes back to the very first shitpostTbh when he first saw the ray of light shining through the wall, for just a second I thought he was gonna go nuts and tear up a bunch of drywall and reveal a hole into the other side of the wall that couldn't possibly be thereEven if you have a ragged hole pointing back at the real world, you'd still be fucked if you wander three doorways in and forget which way you turned
>>221323690I’ve seen that pirate irl in Baltimore
>>221323690It really is unsettling as fuck. It's way creepier than some boring alien or whatever you think is scary.
>>221323560>How and why?Why not?
I have never seen 4chan reverse this hard on a character before>first trailer/poster>eww a nigger he's a nigger get this nigger out of here>movie actually comes out>haha he hates his ex-wife and society and is deeply mentally ill he's /ourguy/ literally mechudmaxxing is the key, hollywoodtake notes
>>221323690I actually thought Cap'n Clark looks good. My biggest worry throughout the build up was the monster was going to be some generic cgi piece of crap like basically a cyclops or something. This movie needed another 20ish minutes of monsters chasing and fucking with people and it'd have been much better. As is, 7/10.
>modern horror movie>spends half the movie talking about the characters who we will never give a fuck aboutWhy does he have to be an alcoholic? Why does he have to be a loser? Why does he have to be a failed architect? Why does he have to be in the middle of a divorce? Why does the therapist lady need to have an estranged relationship with her mother? Why do we need to know her house was destroyed and an apartment building built on top?The movie is 110 minutes, and at least half of it was dedicated to talking about these people who we will NEVER care about. The Backrooms is what drew people to the theater. The setting and what lies within is what's interesting. Why the fuck do we need all this exposition on characters that exist to be the meat puppets that go into these horrific areas?
>>221329759based 70IQ gigachad
>>221324433This. And I want all the cliches & tropes that go with it.>cocky mexican>too cool for school black guy>bull dyke with a chip on her shoulder>completely bootfucked crazy white guy>cigar smoking sarge with a crew cut>fng rookie they all bully>they fuck shit up early on, get overconfident >black guy dies first (obviously)>all get picked off one by one by a malevolent copy like Captain Clark (or several of them)>mexican lands a real zinger before he dies>at the end its just rookie and whatever civilian cunt was tagging along and they come up with some contrived plan to kill the bad copies and escape>rookie of course selflessly gives his life to save the civilian who pulls off the plan and gets out alive>mid-credits scene: copies figure out how to escape the backrooms and into the real world
>>221323585This is the only thing I took away from the backrooms. That post about hollywood lurking reddit for ideas is just pathetic. Never partake in script threads, work on your concepts threads It is just a breeding ground for NPCs that can’t visualize and rotate an apple in their heads just straight profiting off others. I got the entire Blood Meridian movie in my head right now and how it should be filmed right down to the dialogue I could make these jews money they wouldn’t even know what to do with it.
>>221323641It sucks that something that was meant to be eerie and odd so quickly devolved into zoomies going "An empty office room? Ah! I'm staring down C'thulhu's gaping anus!"
>>221329759I bet the original pitch was an hour and a half of the first scene, just first-person found footage with very little dialogue, and some out of touch golf shirt boomer exec said NO! YOU HAVE TO HAVE CHARACTERS AND A PLOT AND A CONFLICT AND DEVELOPMENT! YOU CANT JUST SHOW UNSETTLING IMAGES FOR TWO HOURS!!
>>221323690I think the real fear factor comes from not being aware as to how smart it is, if it actually knows its way around the backrooms or it to is just mindlessly walking around, that and the movement, stumbling yes but with its height it can make long strides which each step anyay, so even if its "clumsy" and uneven, it still can catch up and track very well. You could say that the face could've been scarier, but I think the uncanny look is great, you can't at any moment be able to tell what "emotion" is coming from it; hunger, fear, anger, etc. Honestly a great monster from just how strange it is
>>221329742Kazakhstan unites us all
>>221323923>>221329336The best part is the other recreations of people are disturbing but harmless. Only Captain Clark is dangerous and eats people. Why?Look no further than the dinner scene itself. Clark, insane, rips open that guy and says "And the best part is, you can eat them!"The copy of him is only dangerous because he's a copy of Clark who is, himself, a deranged loon. Corrupted and exaggerated, but still based on the original.
>>221324433Backrooms will become the new Paranormal Activity with a ton of shitty sequels and spinoffs
>>221324645>>221326290Rippen peace
>>221329336It's art
>>221323489Nigga they literally explain it in the movie multiple times. Heres a better question, did the therapist mom find an entrance to the backrooms and go insane cause of it? It shows that at one point she was a normal mom.
>>221323560Fiction nigga, you want a scientific paper on how a fictional concept works? Even in the film the scientist are trying to understand wtf it is
>>221326290
>>221329805Lmao
>>221330030There's already thousands of mostly horribly shitty backroom adaptations as CGI videos, live action and video games out there. How many of them will make the big screen? Who knows. All we know is that they'll suck
>>221329978He just ripped off Attack on Titan, you dumb faggot
>>221323585I shared a business idea on /biz/ that I legit think would work really well, I just don't have the network or capital to make it a reality. I hope somebody takes it and runs with it.
>>221329955The instant they started making "levels" and "entities" it was over. The original was scary because it looked like some shitty place you half-remember from being 6 years old, not because Sirenhead's autistic cousin was patrolling Level 942 with a stat sheet and lore entry. It should just be endless damp carpet, buzzing lights, and the feeling that you're not supposed to be there.
>>221330317No it has to be a grind where you have to gather almond water to preserve your sanity while collecting fuses to unlock new doors while dodging mannequins that move when you turn your back on them with scary sounds in the backgrounds just like my shitty generic indie horror games!
>>221329742They just made him a real character rather than some magical negro with no flaws who lectures the audience about their unearned privilege
>>221329742the actor seems like a cool guy and him being black has no impact on the plot or his character
>>221323641>>221323585>zoomers invented the idea of "noclipping" into the backroo- ACK ACK AAACK!!!!
>>221329359
>>221329969>NO! YOU NEED ONE OF THE PROTAGONISTS TO BE A 25-40 YEAR OLD SINGLE, CHILDLESS PROFESSIONAL WOMAN WHO HATES HER MOTHER (father not found) SO THAT SHE RELATES TO THE AUDIENCE.
>>221331099yeah but the 5th dimension there didn't look like a place that's built by drunken mexicans, designed by an architect on shrooms and xanax
Zoomers are fucking retards
>>221323489I would have prefered if the movie explored the aspect of absurdity more. Like this AI generated minecraft copy where you turn your head 180° and then 180° everything is completely different and nothing really seems to be completely nailed 100%. There was an attempt of that in the movie but it just wasn't enough. I didn't like that the rooms were completely static after their creation. It should have also explored impact on the real people entering the rooms. Like changing their appearance and their brains. It should also not be something completely negative. If you stay in the backrooms you lose yourself and slowly become a part of them. They take your identity, your memories, your wishes, your intelligence and make them part of the backrooms to expand themselves or to learn and to know what to do with future visitors. Like what No-Face did in Spirited Away or what Annihilation explored. Or the exact opposite, where it feeds you random useful information, changes your appearance to let you have 6 fingers, an enhanced brain or anything like that and if you leave early enough and with enough sanity you keep it in the real world and become an evolved person. I would have prefered something like that to be included in the movie. The viewer has to be confused and to not fully grasp it.
>>221323690I thought it was a creepy concept, along with the other room "people". My brain has been decensitized from decades of being on the internet, but if I was a kid I would find it all quite unsettling.t. millenial
>>221326301"Aliens" was exactly that, there were no zoomers involved in production.
