The people responsible for classic 2D animation from the 20th century were basically all chuds who hyper fixated on draftsmanship as a craft and focused on staying grounded to naturalistic styles. A girl I went to High School with works at pixar now. It's not that she was stupid, or a bad artist technically or anything; she was great at the sort of rote memorization needed to get perfect grades, and technically her art was great. It's just that she was the lamest person I've ever met. She had no sense of style, her art was so boring. Her personal style was even worse, just a fat mess with no idea of how to dress herself. She would get perfect grades, but have nothing of interest to say. The few times I read her essays in peer review in class it was so jarring how she'd write such bore. It'd just be perfect paragraph of Opening Sentence, Claim, Supporting Evidence, Supporting Evidence, Claim, Supporting Evidence, Supporting Evidence, Closing Sentence with absolutely nothing real said ever.There was also a difference between the sort of sheltered christian girls that would also robotically act, and her, who was the same, but somehow much worse because she was the euphoric secular type.

It is literally impossible to create more of the charming disney movies of the past, that era is gone along with the people who made it. Every studio is mandated to give a certain proportion of creative leadership positions to "underrepresented groups" as well as follow plots that center on their social issues. With films like Frozen or Brave they could focus on white women, but even this is frowned upon now.So basically any authentic portrayal of WASP culture is not allowed. If you want authenticity, it has to be from some other culture, but Disney doesn't hire all Mexicans for Encanto or Samoans for Moana, so it just ends up being slop with the same low effort 3d animation using 1000 'jeets or now probably AI.
