It's normal that after so many movies and tv shows about superheros that people get bored of them and when something different is released they are interested. I think that is the main reasons behind the success of The Backrooms, Obsession and all those weird horror movies. It's the same reason behind the decline in Star Wars, people are kind of bored of that too and if you don't manage to get a new audience then people that have been watching Star Wars for decades get bored of it and lose interest.
