I guess I should read the novel, since Phillip K Dick wrote weird shit, but I think he would be ashamed of this show. The production values are the only good thing going on here, everything else is just a parody. If you're going to make an alternate history TV series, go all the way and don't be a pussy. I won't spoil it, but you will be amazed at the toddler level writing. The show itself is just not an interesting premise. History Channel has spent decades making Nazis look scary, when in reality history overrates their competency as soldiers. I also laughed at Imperial Japan's story. Like the US is just going to give away California and most of the west coast. People realize it's expensive to conquer land right? Even if you wanted to do it, you need the man power and capacity to subdue the population, which Imperial Japan never had. It's more fun pointing at how ridiculous the show is than watching the show itself. I would say this is a show on the level of The Shield.

>>221341257I couldn't even finish this piece of shit>make an alternate history series about a different WWII outcome>the characters realize they are in a parallel universe to ours so it doesn't matter anywayswhat is even the fucking point? made by retards for retards
>>221341257I still laugh about how the showrunners accidentally made Hitler a good guy in the plot.
shoulda been the man in the white castle and showcased their burgers more
>>221341257The only reason people watched it was John Smith, even redditors begrudgingly admit it, and they ruined his character by the end, cucking him, I wanted to see Reichsfuhrer John Smith
>>221341257>People realize it's expensive to conquer land right? I think 1940s was a different time.
>>221343726And dont forget collaborators.
>>221341257IMO the show was better than the book. The book kinda sucked.
>>221341257Well if you did read the book you'd realize that it was never the intention to paint a realistic meticulously researched scenario of what a axis victory would actually look like. The fact it is heavily implied to be a false reality should make that pretty clear. The book is simply imagining a world where the axis somehow achieved its ultimate victory. where they somehow did actually manage to crush all their enemies and dominate the globe and what comes after that. it doesn't really try to hide the cartoonish nonsense and irrationality of that world, in fact it uses it more as a question of what the end goals of facist belligerence really even was.
>>221343415he was the only enjoyable part and then they gave him the Gul Dukat treatment bc they were butthurt that people liked him
>>221341257It's a show for women like all modern tv shows
>>221341257I remember watching it and it was good enough to watch it. The plot when parallel universes are introduced it's very sci-fi but I think it was interesting to see how a world where The Axis won could have been.
