You know if you’re lost innawoods you’ll just walk in a big circle right?
>>
>>221356602
>look at watch
>look at sky
>find the big ball of fire
>walk in any cardinal direction that'll get you out of da woods quickest
it's quite shrimple.
>>
They should just stick to he trees on their right and keep walking. Eventually it will lead you out of the forest.
>>
Just follow the river flow blub ,it's not that difficult.
>>

the sun moves bro
>>
>>221356805
Rises in east and sits in the west. Even if it's cloudy or a dark forest you can see the source of light moving. In the north in winter it peaks out in the south for a few hours, in summer it dips down in the north for a few hours. If you're in the southern hemisphere it doesn't matter that you flipped the directions.

Where are normies hiking that is so featureless this is true? Hike downhill. Hike along a stream. Hike towards a distant landmark.

What if the witch uses magic so the landscape loops like a 16-bit vidya background

Don't go into the bush. It is easy to get lost. And if you get out it is a miracle + extreme effort.

I believe in the film theory where it is said that the blair witch did time travel and pulled them to the past of that serial killer time. This was the reason why they were able to find and enter that haunted house with the basement and it was the serial killer old man who killed them from behind.
>>
So what do I actually do if I get lost innawoods?
>>
>>221357474
anon, it's 2026, you look at your satellite GPS and moonwalk out of there.

did the producer already explain us the ending?

This worked for a couple. They were stuck and lost and found a dead guy who also had been lost but he had matches and they burned down the forest to reveal their location to searchers.
>>
>>221357474
Well with regards to OPs thing pick a tree and focus on it, then when you get there pick the next tree, this should keep you from walking in circles

If you're gonna be in the woods tell somebody you will be so they can raise an alarm if you don't come back when expected
>>
>>221356661
It's not that simple. The witch used her witch powers to prevent them from going in a straight line.
>>
>>221357474
Go downstream until you reach a swamp and get eaten by a gator.

Guaranteed way to walk aimlessly in circles.

ive been lost in the woods, the fear isn't never getting out its
>it getting dark rapidly
>looking for landmarks you recognized and wasting your time backtracking
>finding a road and not being sure if your car is down the road to the left or right
>having not brought enough water because you did not anticpate being lost (i should really never do this again)
Two weeks ago I was actually on a hike, who gets lost on a hike right? well it was a 7 mile hike with my baby and wife and the problem was the paths branched in different directions and the path signifiers were very vague at a few points causing us to have to backtrack a ways, we got very lucky because we were going to just go back the way we came which would've ended up being like 10 miles but we stumbled upon the right path thinking we were backtracking and made it out 2 hours before sunset. Another time I was with my wife, her young mom, and her mom's three younger kids age 8 to 12 roughly and a dog. We walked into woods with no path remotely, all bushy ground, and at first it was just a straight line, then it was a perfect L with that first line, then it was a right turn making it 3 straight lines. Should be easy to back trace huh? well we finally turn around and we miss a landmark and suddenly we're circling around looking for specific marks and I get in a huge argument/debate with wive's mother (survivaist tweaker type) because she heard a road one direction that I knew for a fact was not the direction to our car and I wasn' about to walk around a road that might take a huge roundabout way to get back. So I basically force everyone to follow me asserting that I just KNOW I'm right (women, especially in law mothers, love this) We just walk in a straight line back to the direction I knew we came from and I'm determined and with all these kids and a dog we hit a straight wall of thorn bushes like 7 feet tall. Now mom is mad because her kids will get hurt boohoo, and I just start stomping this shit down
>>
>>221358710
and then we get to a clearing we thought was the road which was a bit defeatist but as the rest of the group is looking through an opening through the thorns I finally see a hill up to the road that is right next to where we parked, thank fuck I took control
>>
>>221357094
exactly what >>221358710
my story is about, we wanted to try some aimless bush hiking, to look for deer horns actually, and it got rough quick
>>
>>221357474
I was lost and I just kept walking.
Took me a couple hours, untill I saw a hill, and was able to orient myself with it because I could see the hill from the town, so I was effectively on the opposite direction of the town. Double that time I was able to circumvent the hill and head for town.
So my advice would be, before entering a forest pick up some queues or landmarks.
Now if you are on one of those forests that are pure plains and nothing but trees at the distance, I guess you are fuckd
>>
>>221358710
Oh I'm
>>221358873
didn't see that someone else had it that way, the only difference is that I was alone.
AND HOLY SHIT THE WATER, the moment I realized I was lost, checked myself, and I only had like a cup of water was a very low punch in the guts
>>
>>221356661
That's literally what they did, it's the premise of the movie that it didn't work.
>>
>>221358206
is that the one where they immediately got lost, repeatedly went around in circles, and almost died?

Yes
What a perfect example of women's survival skill
>>
>>221356805
that's why anon said to check your watch first
>>
>>221357322
Wouldnt they have dropped like a plot point that 3 unidentified adolescents were found dead too? Like back during rustin parrs time?
>>
>>221356805
which direction?
>>
>>221359218
Yes. The funniest part it that their entire island was the size of two football pitches and they still managed to get hopelessly lost multiple times.

Why did they kill her, bros?
>>
>>221356661
The witch controls space and time. It's midday for like 8 hours then night for long enough for them to go to sleep get fully rested and it's still pitch dark out. It's also implied they got traveled back in time because the film is found aged and under some rocks and the house isnt still standing in 1999.
>>
>>221358710
It's actually bafflingly hard to get lost in 2026
>download offline google maps of your area
>set markers of your parking spot, or even the trail you wish to follow along so backtracking is easier
>simply reference the gps if you get lost
Im pretty sure they let you download satellite too which makes it even easier to find landmarks
>>

Thanks, Josh.
>>
>>221357322
Why would the house be fucked if they were pulled back in time? I just think the witch is a myth and the ghost of rustin parr manipulates the layout of the woods to trap you and kill you, because the kids would have basically felt like the woods were inescapable too right?
>>
>>221356805
But you are also moving in the direction
>>
>>221358710
I've been turned around thanks to vague trail markers and you've helped me realize to never take a foid or child on a hike i'm not very familiar with. Because I just imagined dragging a girl through some bullshit brush and the amount of complaining and whining that would occur

would but only because I read she was homeless and suicidal for years

>Guaranteed way to walk aimlessly in circles.
No it isn't. It's literally how you train land nav in the army, focusing on a landmark so you don't accidentally fall into the natural lines of drift because that's how you end up walking in circles
>>
>>221365266
Damn shes a granny wtf

>>221357474
non-meme answer: following water downstream is what was taught for a long time and it will probably work, but it could put you in a worse situation as well especially if you get wet. what is taught now is to just stay put and wait for help, assuming you told someone where you were going that will know something's wrong when you don't come back.
>>
>>221365610
>pick a tree and focus on it, then when you get there pick the next tree
Not landmarks. You're a retard who didn't understand your training and would get lost in a tiny forest.
