I've watched Madame Web at least 3 timesI first saw it on christmas eve at home because I had nothing better to watch, and I had such a great time (it's an awful movie, it's so incompetently made and weird and poorly written/acted with goofy villains and lots of teleportations and coincidences). For me Madame Web is a movie I watch every christmas eve at home now because I made this association, and it's always a great time. It's like The Room or Arizona Werewolf kind of "so bad it's good" except that it had a 100 million budget. Dakota Johnson is awful. The arab bad guy is such an over the top millionaire villain with a high tech surveillance system. So much of the movie makes no sense. Adam Scott is completely miscast I cannot recommend watching this movie highly enough. Most modern hollywood movies, even if you think they suck, at least you feel like they are competently put together or make sense in terms of writing or directing. This movie feels like an oddity where there are so many scenes that don't make any sense. It's like they didn't have anyone remotely competent or experienced on the set and just broke a bunch of basic rules. I can't believe they didn't cancel this movie and released it. I enjoy it more than some good movies

>>221361774I largely agree with your sentiment but Dakota is not awful though, she's perfect for the movie. She's winking at the camera with us the whole time. She was furious at the script changes and fired her agent for a reason. And the press tour was great too.

That reboot was basically cursed anyway considering how many Buffy cast members have been dying lately I'm willing to bet that Batgirl movie will show up eventually. That was basically finished when they shelved it
