>"Fuck Doug">"Doug is a pussy">"Doug destroyed a generation">"JIM JINKINS RUINED MY LIFE"???It was just a boomer reflecting on his life in small town America. What's the fuckin' problem? I think you'd have to be deranged to have a genuinely negative opinion about this show.
>>221363437For me it's the episode where Mr. Dink tells Doug he needs his help satisfying his wife and he learns they're a cuckold couple.>Ha-HA! The thinking man's fetish, Douglas! Very high brow, my boy!
>>221363737>Chee, I don't know Mr. Dink, that sounds pretty cucky.
>>221363437i prefer live action DougIM OUTTA HERRRREEEEE
it glorified being a neurotic obsessive simp
>>221363437Stop making the same thread over and over again christ
>>221363437I'm actually old enough to remember watching Doug and I don't think I've heard or read anyone say that, ever, before you. In 30 years. Are you okay anon?
>>221364009I grew up watching Doug too and liked it. Other kids definitely said fuck Doug and thought it was a boring show and Doug was a weak pussy.

>>221363437Everything people hate about Doug, Hey Arnold did as well, but people aren't for that conversation.
>>221364154Hey Arnold had that ever-present badass urban vibe and his room was what every kid wished theirs was..that's almost a unfair comparison.
>>221363737My favorite episode is the one where Porkchop becomes a pimp and Doug has to find homes for the puppies that look like Skeeter one of the bitches gives birth to.
>>221363437Yeah Im confused by all the hate. I thought the show was fine and relatable. I didnt find it any different than hey arnold.
>>221364167It wasn't cool. As a kid who liked Doug when it was airing I remember other kids hating Doug because it was boring and Doug himself was a loser.
>>221364167Nah, Hey Arnold was better.
>>221363437The show is extremely boring, but not terrible or anything. Admittedly, I never saw the Disney episodes.
Nobody cared about Doug. Doug didn't ruin anyone's childhood, he ruined their Saturday morning cartoon line-up. You had shows like Recess, Pepper Ann, Lloyd in Space, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, The Weekenders, and later on Lizzie McGuire. Other channels had X-Men, Transformers: Beast Wars, Power Rangers, Batman, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Batman Beyond; even classics like The Bugs Bunny/Sylvester and Tweety show popped up from time to time. What did Doug ever bring to the table? Animation wise, most of of those other shows blow it out of the water. Doug ended up being the least interesting and memorable character in his own cartoon. He's an imaginative and creative kid, sure, but the best he can come up with i a self-instrt superhero named Quailman which is just his usual outfit with his underwear inside out? The whole show is him simping over the towns 5/10; if kids wanted that, they should have waited until primetime for Frasier to come on and watch Niles do it better. And long after you have grown up and these stupid Doug threads start popping up on /tv/ long after it had faded from memory and you read about how the character is a paint-by-number recreation of the creator and he simped for some bitch named Patti for decades before she finally wnet on adate with im and introduced him to her husband. ALl of a sudden the dismisall and disdain you had for the cartoon and character in childhood comes flooding back and you feel the same anger and annoyance you did when his annoying themesong came on the TV and you compound that by how much you despize the pussy the creator of the show is and it just makes you hate him all over again.Seriously; these threads suck as much ass as the cartoon did. Fuck Doug and the whole Dougieevrse.
CHICH EE BA TAHCHICH EE BA TAHTSS
What do I remember most about Doug? The Halloween episode. It was pretty good, but Nickelodeon absolutely refused to play it outside of October despite being know at the time for rerunning the shit out of their shows. I always thought that was odd. I'm pretty sure that the extremely depressing Christmas episode wasn't in the regular rotation either.
>>221363437It was mostly boring shit I left on as background noise while I played on the computer.
>>221364641>he thinks we're talking about Disney's DougThat show never existed, Anon.
>>221364641Also as mentioned >>221364575I can't even remember Doug's cast of characters compared to Hey Arnold's which I do.
>>221364167It was extremely dull. It tried to be more grown up in the way it presented itself but that just made it boring; like it was on the fence between being fun/childish and thematic/thoughtful so it ended up the worst of both. The plots were like the weakest b-stories of some 90s family friendly sitcom like the one where Doug trains himself to eat liver and onions because he's having dinner at Patti's and is worried about not liking it. Just a really boring dull show.
"the nostalgia critic" hates doug because they share a same first name, and he said he was ridiculed for it. his fans/shills fabricated the anti doug sentiment, which hit this board several years ago and took on a life of its own. it's not unlike how rlm shills/fans created the ' prequels were shit ' narrative that retards fell for and continue to propagate. that's pretty much all there is to it
>>221364991>prequelfag likes Doug>seethes about ecelebsYou just have bad taste.
>>221364771Off by heart, I remember Skeeter, Patti and Roger, all more memorable characters than fucking Doug ever was.
>>221363437You're not American so you wouldn't understand
>>221363437this show didn't hit and the movie was gay my sentiment when I was 11 hasn't changed
>Doug's First MovieThe most presumptuous movie title since Remo: The Adventure Begins.
>>221363437I never should have trusted Phil and used the Funnie Fireball in Little League.
>>221363437Doug is a lame show. I thought it was lame when I was a kid, too.Not the worst show in the world. Not offensively bad or anything. Just lame.
>>221363437The only show I liked less than Doug at the time on Nick was Rugrats. I know Rugrats was very popular, but it felt like a show moms liked more than any kid I knew. Every time some mom would be like "ooooh, Rugrats, I love that show." To me, it was just babies aimlessly wandering around while mispronouncing words and not much more.
>>221365422Based Rugrats hater
>>221363437>I think you'd have to be deranged to have a genuinely negative opinion about this show.
>>221365192Holy shit, what an underwhelming movie. I feel bad for asking my dad to take me to this. But at least he got a nap out of it.
>>221365091i'm not seething at all, people resorting to a deliberate mischaracterization like that usually implies that the facts don't side with them. that and insecurity is where name calling and otherizing type stuff comes from.i just know when something is fake, that's all.
>>221365533You're angry about a bunch of ecelebs because they got lots of views making fun of media you like years and years ago. That's evidence you're a cringe faggot which itself is evidence Doug and the Star Wars prequels are for cringe faggots.
>>221365533You're quibbling, the last resort of a midwit on the ropes.
Pepper Ann was better even when I was watching as a boy. Doug was whiny, Pepper Ann was funny.
>>221365608Girl Doug, Dog Doug, and Alien Doug were all better than Doug.
>>221364165How did Arnold never boil alive in that room? Wouldn't it have basically acted like a greenhouse?
The only good one that still holds up today.
>>221365603>>221365574>YOU are (x)there's the hint about who is actually seething or desperate for the narrative change rather than speaking observationally. lies never win.
>>221364166>Honk honk, I'm all about that cookie, Doug!
>>221365647I'm not the original anon you were replying to. I'm an outside party that decided you were more wrong.
He's a wishy-washy soft nice guy, and because this type of man makes pussies immediately dry up, modern women have thoroughly demonized these type of men, and since we live in a gynocentric society, men have followed suit (even guys who are like Doug, because they're in denial and/or don't want to run the risk of women thinking they're one of "those" guys)
>>221365647>who is actually seethingYou. You're mad a couple ecelebs got views making fun of media you like years after the fact. >desperateAgain, you. You're mad people make you feel silly for liking corny man-child movies about space wizards and a cartoon about being mid. >lies never winAccording to you the ecelebs lied about the media you like sucking and that's the only reason people dislike it. By your own cope you're wrong once again, lol.
>>221365422Rugrats was the first time I felt a show was "jewish", even though I didn't have a word for it yet.
>>221365733i wasn't implying you were samefagging. but maybe you've personally become accustomed to that accusation and felt like i was. maybe you developed this reflex and are like this because you jump into online arguments often for whatever reason>>221365771>making things up to feel rightyou should just post in a notepad file at this point
>>221365631And why was his room so nice when the rest of the apartment building was a slum?
>>221365810>making things upProjection. Now show us on the Jar-Jar doll where the ecelebs touched you.
>>221365810>but maybe you've personally become accustomed to that accusation and felt like i was>maybe you developed this reflex and are like this because you jump into online argumentsI'm a busy man. Why waste time with the whole back-and-forth rigamarole of predictable nonsense when I can preempt and thwart it with my superior instincts? If it wasn't You specifically, it would have been someone else.
>>221364154Isn't it weird that two things can do similar things differently and people receive them diffently? Strange.
>>221365842>defending e-celebs>>221365850>"i'm busy">continues to replyi've had fun, auf wiedersehen.
>>221365771No one calm types in this insane, Reddit ass fashion. You're livid.
>>221365894>defendingWhere? I'm making fun of you for being mad they made fun of media you like. >making things up to feel right (>>221365810)Remember what I said about projection earlier?
>>221365894I reply efficiently. I have many tabs and threads open. It would be stupid to waste time on unengaging discourse. >I've had funah yes, retreat, the hallmark of victory! lmao
>>221365896>Reddit assIs that what the guys call you down at the fag bar?
>>221365933
>>221364154>Hey Arnold did as wellBiggest difference is that being a anxious simp wasn't Arnold's defining character. Sure there was Ruth and Leela, but the obsessive simp role was ultimately taken by Helga. And Arnold was a lot more proactive than passive. Arnold was a leader in ways that Doug wasn't.
>>221365808all of Klasky-Csupo, once you begin to Notice
>>221365923>victorywell, when things are only about winning to someone, the truth takes a backseat to their primary motivation, which is to be right or to "win" by any means necessary. this hinders growth at a profoundly deep level and can manifest into some truly ugly traits. i would sincerely suggest you not waste time being this way, since little can be learned from this sort of behavior, it's only a poison for your soul. but do whatever you like
>>221366136>announced he was leaving>comes back to write a novel NTA but you definitely lost.
>>221366136I don't disagree with the spirit of your first sentence. But the mechanics, and the rest of the content that follows, confirm a supremely faggoty disposition that you will continually be mocked for on 4chan until you fix it.
>>221366190kinda, i felt it was more important to try and help someone think about a new perspective they may not have thought of than to look cool>>221366208>you will continually be mocked for on 4chan i've been here a long time and while it can be rough at times, the overly meanspirited nature of this website has always been overstated, and it's actually the newfags trying to fit in that out themselves as tourists by pretending to be as vile as the 4chan stories they're told about on reddit. idc anyway i post sporadically. thanks anyway later 4real
>>221366425
>>221366425Lol, no you didn't. No go watch Doug to help you cope with being painfully mid.
